THE ROLE

The Position: The Quality Control / Assurance Intern will assist the Quality team in a variety of improvement analysis and implementation utilizing Quality systems and methodologies. Will support the Quality team in deployment and implementation, problem solving methodology and support change management in the cascading of continuous improvement through the facility.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Supports the Quality Assurance & Control teams.
Participates in a variety of assignments in functional areas.
Performs specific assignments for higher-level staff.
Participate within a multifunctional team on safety, productivity, and quality projects.
3D Drafting in Catia V5 & Fusion 360
Hands on experience using Zeiss 3D Scanning tools & Metrology Software (GomInspect Pro)
Prototype tooling development & deployment incl. working with tool shops to turn your designs into parts
Gain hands on experience in Quality Assurances processes including:
root cause analysis using typical Lean Six Sigma methodology
PFMEA/DFMEA/Control Plan review with suppliers
SPC, CAPA
Gain hands on experience in Quality Control processes and implementation including:
Day to Day QC activities (Quality gates, measurements, data acquisition)
QC Gate setup & dynamic checklist management processes & tools
Assist in the design & implementation of data collection plans, including consideration of how the data will be collected, e.g. check sheets, data coding techniques and automated data collection
Support Development & Launch of Plant Deviation process including IT implementation (PowerAutomate)
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)
Education: Pursuing or recent graduate with a bachelor's degree in related discipline (e.g., engineering, quality, management, or business).
Skills: Good communication skills.
Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office products, including Excel.
Excellent analytical skills: ability to collect and analyze data and present findings.
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Travel: None
