Job Summary

Trelleborg Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team in Northborough, MA. The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards and regulatory compliance. This position involves detailed inspections, testing, and documentation to verify that products are manufactured according to specified protocols. The Quality Inspector works closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to maintain high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

The standard hours for this position will be Monday-Friday 9:30AM-6PM. Some overtime may be required based on business need.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of incoming materials, in-process, and finished products.

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and other types of inspections/tests per established procedures.

  • Maintain accurate inspection records and data in compliance with company procedures and customers' requirements.

  • Identify and report potential Quality Issues or Incidents.

  • Report and document all materials Non-Conformances or defect as per established processes.

  • Handle, package and label non-conforming materials

  • Recommend improvements to inspection processes and quality procedures.

  • Adhere to and review quality control procedures to enhance inspection processes.

  • Participate in the calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and measuring equipment.

  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in quality control activities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in training programs to stay current with advancements in quality assurance and inspection techniques.

  • Follow Safety and Environmental Protocols and report unsafe conditions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Quality Inspector, preferably in Biopharma, Medical devices, or other regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of quality control principles, inspection methods and instruments.

  • Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings/ specifications, and technical data.

  • Expertise to perform precise measurements and calculations.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office, data entry into quality databases.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
