Quality Control Inspector

Opportunity to join an established & growing Machining & Manufacturing company as a Quality Control Inspector. Schedule is Monday

  • Friday, and will pay $15-$22/hour DOE.



  • Inspect precision machined parts using calibrated hand and automated inspection tools

  • Program and operate Keyence and other automated inspection systems

  • Interface with key internal employees such as CNC Machinists & Management

  • Support creation of detailed inspection plans for tight tolerance parts

  • Help determine root cause and corrective actions to remove risk points and increase quality

  • Complete inspection reports and First Article Inspection Reports

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM


Experience & Skills Required & Desired:

--Minimum of 2 years in an Inspector/Quality Control role

--Experience & Skill utilizing automated inspection systems such as vision and CMM

--Experience completing FAI's with ability to utilize provided ERP software and Excel

--Prior CNC machining experience preferred

--2 years or more experience supporting and training other Inspectors preferred

--SSharp interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate with other employees in a professional way

--Excellent attention to detail and knowledge of machining practices

VIEW JOBS 10/30/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-28T00:00 Position Overview The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for performing set-up, in-process, and final inspections on bill of material products and finished goods produced in assigned areas of responsibility. The goal of this position is to support manufacturing with 100% defect free production while adhering to established costs. Essential Functions * Verifies all production set-ups are made correctly and conform to established standards for quality * Performs surveillance inspection during production, to include, but not limited to pre- and final testing * Conducts final audits following established procedures to verify product quality prior to customer shipment * Completes all necessary paperwork in accordance with established procedures * Maintains quality records for assigned areas * Assists manufacturing employees with analysis and problem solving as needed * Issues work orders as necessary * Conducts inventory audits * Assists in screening non-conforming materials as requested * Supports process scrap analysis * Pulling inventory, assembling and soldering of all custom PC boards, as needed for assigned * upcoming systems * Programming of specific integrated circuit chips, as needed for controls * Final testing of systems before shipment to customer * Proficiency in hand soldering for through-hole and surface mount circuit board; use of air * powered screw-guns, drills and other hand tools Education * High School diploma or equivalent required * An Associate's DegreeORequivalent experience working with electronics and PCA standards * Some college level courseworkORminimum 3 years' prior warehouse experience is preferred Skills * Must be capable of using basic electronic and electrical measuring devices and tools * Ability to successfully complete Blueprint Reading Class and read wiring schematics and/or riser * Diagrams * Knowledge of electronic devices preferred * Must have the ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing in the English language * Must have excellent sight, hearing and verbal communication skills both in person and on the telephone along with the eye, hand and body coordination necessary to efficiently operate any assigned equipment within the department and / or warehouse * Good communication and time management skills as well as careful attention to detail * Proficient in the use of soldering irons and hand power tools * Proficient in the use of electronic testing and measuring devices #LI-LES Leviton is an EEO/AA Employer.
