Summary:

The Lab technician role is a versatile position that requires the ability to multi-focus and tackle a host of tasks simultaneously. This position is responsible for operating all lab equipment and producing results at a rapid rate. The lab technician is also responsible for reporting out results to shift leadership in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Perform tests on production material using various analytical instruments such as: Viscometers, titration devices, scales, moisture analyzers, etc...

• Perform operator level routine maintenance of lab equipment: inspecting, cleaning, etc.

• Data entry: Enter data into software programs such as excel and Minitab and InfinityQS

• Willingness to train on new laboratory equipment and learn new testing methods.

• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to work together with others on shift.

• Demonstrate the ability to work safely in a chemical laboratory environment.

• Monitor lab data daily and notify process control technician and management of any data trends that are out of specification.

• Comply with daily lab cleaning schedule.

• Perform cycle inventory counts as needed.

• Must have the ability to lift up to 20 lbs and the ability to kneel/squat for short periods of time.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.

• Strong writing and communication skills.

• Experience using MS: Office, Power Point, and Excel preferred.

• Preferred experience working in a laboratory setting with chemical solvents.

• Preferred experience with titration lab equipment is a plus but not required.
