Quality Control Inspector

We are currently seeking A QC Inspector to assists our busy quality team in maintaining out quality program policies through the performance of Quality Control Inspection activities. Job duties will include:

• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspection of material & product fabricated, processed, erected, etc. by Hohl Industrial Services or companies subcontracted by Hohl Industrial.

• Perform inspections in accordance with Hohl procedures, drawings, codes, standards, specifications, customer requirements, or other identified quality requirements & acceptance criteria as applicable.

• Report, process and monitor non-conforming product or activities in accordance with Hohl procedures.

• Assist with the maintenance of continuity logs for shop fabrication welders.

• Monitor calibrations on welding machines & shop measuring equipment.

• Maintain QC Measuring equipment calibrations.

• Perform periodic spot checks on material identification procedures. Witness check points and prepare reports as required.

• As required for ASME Code Work perform receiving, in-process, final, and hydrostatic testing / inspection of fabricated items.

• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:

• 2-year technical degree with 2 years steel fabrication inspection experience, or high school diploma / GED with 5 years steel fabrication inspection experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record

• Knowledge of welding and steel fabrication processes

• Experience reading prints, layouts, schematics, and other engineering drawings

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret; procedures, codes, standards, and specifications

• Ability to effectively and appropriately communicate with personnel at all levels within the organization; as well as external contacts such as union craft personnel, clients, salesmen, etc.

• Ability to efficiently and effectively complete forms, reports and other paperwork as needed.

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and/or NDE level II in MT & PT a plus

• Ability to use common office computer programs (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook)
