Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts visual and measurement inspections on incoming and in-process materials. Confirms quality and specifications, communicates required adjustments, and rejects and returns unacceptable materials as necessary.

  • Reads blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.

  • Measures product dimensions, examines functionality, and compares the final product to the specifications.

  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests. Returns products for re-work if needed and completes documentation to confirm re-work.

  • Documents and updates inspection results by completing reports and logs.

  • Ensures measurement equipment is operating correctly by adhering to all operating instructions and performing preventive maintenance and repairs.

  • Looks for opportunities to adjust and improve production processes and procedures.

  • Informs supervisor when quality issues and concerns arise.

  • Assists the supervisor, as needed, with various audits and compliance projects.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and may require vocational or technical education.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Possesses working knowledge of and ability to use multiple types of measuring equipment (e.g., scales, measuring tapes, micrometers, calipers, etc.)

  • Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skills.

  • Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to analyze and present findings in a clear, concise, and logical manner.

  • Possesses good organization, prioritization, and time management skills.

  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.

This role will act to provide Quality control for all DTDC components under the Manage Model as well as SKU's associated with Rockstar integration. <br><br> This will be a multifaceted role requiring knowledge associated with several functions including Innovation/NPI, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and JV partnerships This includes vendor non-conformance management, advising vendors on label creation based on PS/Ing Spec documentation and approving prior to use. Vendor engagement to promote performance improvement in condition of delivery and material handling will be critical to ensuring effective corrective action implementation. This role will also manage inventory status movements in SAP with authority to block and release stock per Quality disposition and will act as the intermediate between Ireland Quality and DC personnel. <br><br> The role will be empowered to make timely decision making on high value components to ensure no supply chain disruption Due to the scope and scale of these projects, this role is necessary to provide technical transfer expertise to PGCS DC's in order to ensure sustainable right first time process/product for our customers Accountabilities: Lead the technical elements of direct to DC and associated integration projects as listed in part 2 Partner with Ireland quality team for indound cargo / DC inventory inspections in the US Drive decision making though stakeholder engagement and escalation as required Delivery solutions that will ensure a sustainable process and eliminate any risk to PGCS or our customers Manage Hold and Release of all DTDC Manage Model materials Lead performance review meeting for vendor materials including, transportation, packaging, overall quality of material/deliveries Collaborate with Support Center to drive improvements in vendor direct performance Mange all records and data analytics associated with DTDC non conformances Partner with DC Managers and Supply Chain management to assess potential headwinds, anticipate risk and develop mitigation strategies Provide guidance to Innovation Team and 3rd party vendors on labeling requirements for new materials. #LI-USA Qualifications Quality Governance (Key skill) Quality Auditing Quality Training Ability to translate priorities into clear executable work plans but also have the operational knowledge to influence upwards and across Ability to influence the Integration agenda bringing a depth of functional understanding that can offer alternatives and more simplified solutions without incurring risk Leverage a wide network to quickly assess situations and identify solutions. Having the org savvy to know who to contact and when - e.g. expediting decision though R&amp;D Being able to operate outside comfort zone, read through the abstract and know when to escalate Lead in a multiple functional environment demonstrating an End to End knowledge Have a maturity to value and assess all perspectives and align on the best solution for the business while being risk astute. <br><br> Ability to communicate at executive level delivering targeted messaging Ability to project-manage Attention for detail Bachelor's degree required Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred 3-5 years experience in Quality Management or related Supply Chain role required Knowledge of AIB/FSMA standards required Experience with Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word) required Experience using SAP preferred Experience with statistcs and data trending preferred Covid-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment dependent on role and location.
