Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Control Associate for our Microbial Solutions site in Charleston, SC. This role will, ensure the quality and integrity of product by testing incoming materials, excipients and final product.

The Quality Control Associate will be responsible for the following:

  • Perform environmental monitoring of LAL (Limulus Amebocyte Lysate) and Crude Lysate production areas to ensure appropriate conditions are maintained.

  • Perform Crude Lysate recovery procedures during the Horseshoe Crab Bleeding Season(Summer Months).

  • Sterility Testing of finished product and Long-Term Stability samples.

  • Growth Promotion of incoming media

  • Release testing of Celsis Rapid Sterility Reagents

  • Attention to detail in all aspects of work is essential.

The following are Minimum Requirements for the Quality Control Associate position:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

The following are Preferred Qualifications related to the Quality Control Associate position, but are not required to be considered for this position:

  • One year of experience with GMP products.

  • Prior experience with laboratory operations and auditing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Read and interpret specifications, plans and resource documents to determine requirements and planning procedures as outlined in the RFP * Document and update appropriate logs * Conduct, attend and participate in project meetings * Coordinate Three Phase of Control plan Preparatory, Initial and Final Phases * Maintain quality control by frequent and regular inspection of work and work-in-progress as related to mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems * Complete all reports and records in an accurate and timely manner * Maintain an orderly and clean presence on the jobsite * Complete job close-out procedures * Able to work in Quality Control System (QCS)/ USACE Resident Management System (RMS 3.0) * Traveling/relocation will be required MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * The characteristics listed below are representative of those sought to perform this job successfully. * Working knowledge of field construction including systems, practices, general engineering principals and construction techniques, materials, methods and sequencing * Familiarity with requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1 * Detailed experience with quality control for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems * Experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance * Strong work ethic with a passion to fulfill commitments * Remarkable enthusiasm * Sincere obligation to client satisfaction * Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, multi-tasking, communication and conflict management skills * Computer knowledge in sending emails, daily reports, construction look-ahead schedules, and iPad use EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE * Four year degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction or Building Science. * 5 years of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager or Project Engineer on a similar size and type of construction contract * Minimum 2 years of experience as a QC Manager * Current certificate of completion of Construction Quality Managers for Contractors course, a plus * Design/Build experience is a plus * Experience on large DOD, USACE, NAVFAC or Federal projects preferred. * Procore experience is a plus PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
