Summary:
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, hands-on QA and Safety Analyst to join our Chadds Ford operations team. Through assessment you will help develop and execute state of the art planetarium display systems, modular structural frame domes and immersive dome structures. Many of these are one-of-a-kind designs that require our team to collaborate closely with clients to ensure that every aspect of the final display meets with the client's demanding standards. This is a full-time position.
o Confirm manufactured parts match engineering documentation.
o Confirm 3rd party sourced parts match engineering documentation.
Perform inspections and witness tests of outgoing materials to identify quality problems. Assist in the documentation, control, and disposition of non-conforming materials.
Confirm all outgoing materials are packed and shipped.
Confirm all installation tools are in working order and packed for shipping.
Communicate results to responsible areas for use in root cause analysis and implement corrective action where needed.
Perform SPCI inspections.
Perform on-site safety and quality inspections.
Perform mock OSHA inspections.
Maintain job site safety equipment.
Develop and maintain department policies and procedures.
Keep informed of updates to standards, regulations, and best practices.
When necessary, seek guidance on unusual conditions or requirements.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in quality assurance, quality control, engineering or equivalent required.
3 to 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred. Work experience in the disciplines of manufacturing/construction/structural engineering preferred.
Can pass an FBI and State(s) background check A/R for public schools.
Preferred:
Communicate effectively with team and customers.
Prepare accurate, concise, and orderly documents.
Work independently with moderate supervision
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites
Working Conditions:
Travel required - 10%
