Position Summary:

Supports Operations through process monitoring, measuring, and statistical data analysis. Dimensional layouts in support of continuous improvement and validation of design. Quality Management System (ISO 9001; 2015) audits. Support third party auditors through inspection and testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Support quality processes and testing methods to define finished product and process capabilities and to establish standards to confirm the manufacturing process and results.

  • Conduct system and/or process audits.

  • Conduct part/product audits.

  • Aide in Analysis using statistical methods.

  • Aide in Developing error detection, error proofing, and quality improvement tools and methods.

  • Conduct Receiving Inspection of items purchased from outside vendors to determine conformance to specifications.

  • Conduct gauge calibration as needed and maintain gauge calibration system.

  • Maintain the disposition of non-conforming material.

  • Assist with all third party Audits.

  • Collect, analyze and summarize data, information and trends to prepare product and process reports.

  • Maintain product and process data through identified computer programs.

  • Support manufacturing and engineering by providing data and information and answering questions and providing solutions as requested.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participation in related professional organizations.

Required Experience:

  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office.

  • Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures.

  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician and GD& T experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must, as well as a keen attention to detail.

  • Strong working knowledge and experience in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma tools preferred.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • 2 years' experience in quality field.

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team contributor.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm is length, stoop, kneel, and crouch.

  • Ability to lift and/or move 25 pounds, and up to 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision.

  • Ability to use power tools, air tools and other vibratory tools.

  • Ability to work from a standing position for extended periods.

  • Ability to work around hot heavy machinery

  • Ability to work in an open warehouse environment, subject to seasonal weather (hot/cold)

Desired Education:

  • Associate Degree in Design Engineering, Mechanical Design Technology or other related Technical discipline.
