General Scope of Responsibilities:

To interpret Product Application Requirements into Manufacturing Specifications. To be a point of contact for Product Managers, Field Associates, and Manufacturing for all Press Product Specifications when needed. Implement standard processes and initiate actions to reduce variation and improve product repeatability. Investigate and integrate new technologies and/or practices into existing processes to improve quality and efficiency. Lead, define, and manage projects in order to meet the business goals. Work within a team environment to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and eliminate waste.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Foster and maintain an environment that encourages a high level of moral, legal, civic, social, and environmental awareness and behavior.

  • Maintain safe work standards that meet all legal requirements.

  • Develop initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

  • Collect and analyze data in order to direct initiatives to improve quality and/or efficiency

  • Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve product, process or equipment issues

  • Manage the processes, materials, supplier contacts, obsolescence planning, and quality (including disposition of products that fail to meet specifications) in your area of responsibility

  • Coordinate the design of key trials, product/process modifications and new product launches

  • Investigate and integrate new technologies into existing processes to improve quality and efficiency

  • Responsible for the successful processing of orders and providing accurate specifications to the manufacturing operation

  • Coordinate the design of key trials and modifications with product managers

  • Participate in the Trial Design Review to ensure the proper applications of new trials

  • Provide technical support to Product Managers, field associates, and site operations

  • Able to handle routine application related calls from field and customer

  • Maintenance of Needle and Style Codes

  • Lead and participate in special projects, Lean activities, kaizen events and teams that support the design, applications and marketing team priorities and goals

  • Investigate and address customer complaints as needed

  • Assist in the training of new associates

  • Support and manage ISO documents (physical and digital), procedures, and initiatives, perform internal ISO audits as scheduled, and review and approve ISO procedures/work instructions

  • Support sustainability initiatives set forth by AstenJohnson

  • CITL will assign responsibilities as needed

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required (Engineering or Textile preferred)

  • Two years of manufacturing experience

  • Textile/weaving experience preferred

  • Lean process knowledge/certification
