The Hot Section Module Center (HSMC) Quality Clinic is offering a great opportunity for an Investigation Manager to join our team. The Quality Clinic is a challenging, fast paced, high visibility environment and we are looking for someone who has high energy, works well with others, and can lead by influence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the Escape Management Process for escapes, including population bounding, identifying robust systemic root cause and follow up on the implementation of corrective/preventive actions

  • Facilitation and coaching of cross-functional Problem Resolution Team (PRTs) for escapes and Clinic Assists for high pain organizational issues

  • Foster and maintain cooperative relationship with Program Quality, Product Recall, DCMA, and leverage clinic to clinic interaction across PW enterprise

  • Maintain ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence) discipline and certification

  • Maintain Quality Clinic and individual certifications

  • Improve RCCA proficiency throughout HSMC

  • Drive personal improvement in RCCA competency

  • Support the maintenance and publication of all Clinic related Metrics

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical, business or Quality field

  • Knowledge of RCCA tools and proficiency in driving robust systemic RCCA

  • Knowledge of SAP and Quality Notifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field required (e.g., Engineering, Physical Sciences, Manufacturing, Quality)

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing and/or Engineering with a minimum of 3 years in the aerospace industry

  • US citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the 8D process

  • Ability to lead others, develop and execute action plans, influence decisions and drive change

  • Results focused work ethic to resolve issues in a timely manner

  • High energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with leadership and associates at all levels through the organization and external customers

  • Knowledge of non-conforming material management processes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as, strong presentation, planning, problem solving, organizational, project management and decision-making skills

  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SAP

  • Experience developing and mentoring other leaders

  • Experience working in a shop capacity

Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? Department Overview Hot Section Module Center (HSMC) South is a world class fabricator of both military and commercial turbine airfoils. HSMC South is looking for a high energy, self-starter to assume the role as the quality engineer team leader in the production and development of turbine airfoils. Key Responsibilities * Provide technical support to the inspection and manufacturing communities * Evaluate manufacturing processes and hardware to determine compliance to applicable requirements * Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance shop quality signature * Perform data analysis of quality non-conformances * Support shop non-compliance investigations to determine root cause, identifying robust corrective actions and tracking effectiveness * Support preparation efforts for external quality audits such as the AS9100 certification * Support product escapes investigations and population bounding efforts * Support day to day manufacturing activities such as review and approval of work instructions, process authorization requests (PAR), and first article inspections (FAI). * Team with supplier quality engineering to resolve supplier issues that impact shop hardware * Construct and perform quality presentations to a technical community. Basic Qualifications * BS in related field, preferably engineering * US Citizenship required due to government contracts * Minimum GPA of 3.0 * Fluent in English (verbal/written) Preferred Qualifications * Familiarity with inspection tooling and techniques, * Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a group setting and interface directly with shop floor inspection and operations personnel * Proficient in the use of continuous improvement tools, such as robust root cause analysis (RRCA) and principles of lean manufacturing.
