Responsible for auditing all elements of the Quality Management System (QMS) and judging degree of adherence to documented requirements; such as work instructions, procedures, industry standards and management directives, to insure system integrity and the highest levels of quality possible.

Conduct different types of objective, ethically based audits using and interpreting standards and requirements.
Develop and communicate an audit plan within a defined scope that identifies applicable standards, necessary personnel, required documents and tools, and an audit agenda.
Execute an audit plan. This includes opening meeting, performing the audit and closing the meeting using generally accepted auditing techniques and verifying, documenting, and communicating findings as appropriate for the audit.
Act as a liaison between industry, customer and vendor QMS activity and documentation of internal activities relative to the QMS.
Coordinate and/or conduct training of Quality personnel and customers on QMS requirements. May train and supervise additional internal auditors as required.
Provide guidance in respect to discovered non-conformances and potential corrective & preventive actions.
Provide support to the various departments in diagnosing and eliminating root causes for nonconformance and warranty problems.
Active participant in the drive to integrate Lean Manufacturing, and team-based process methodology & control.
Support quality team with process quality investigations as directed by Quality Director.

3 to 5 year experience - understands the standards and the principles of auditing and the auditing techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating, and reporting to determine a Quality Management Systems adequacy and deficiencies.

Will oversee the operations of the OR, PACU, SSU, and Pre-Hospital Testing areas. Duties and Responsibilities: The following are essential job accountabilities: 1 Manages the care management program for assigned patient population including clinical policy development and implementation, clinical data management and reporting, achieving improved clinical outcomes, improving cost effectiveness, and interdisciplinary collaboration and coordination in the management of patient care. 2 Collaborates with other clinical leaders to advance clinical process, system improvement, and sharing of resources across the system. 3 Directs a collaborative planning process with clinicians within the service line to meet the needs of the assigned patient population. 4 Manages the clinical staffing across the continuum of care and maintains a flexible budget. 5 Collaborates with, and mentors the clinical management team within the service line. 6 Coordinates clinical performance improvement activities within the service line. 7 Coordinates clinical performance improvement activities within the clinical area. 8 Supports and mentors shared decision making process and clinical advancement philosophy. 9 Utilizes lean principles to foster operational improvement in patient centeredness, quality of care and cost effectiveness. 10 Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements and seeks to keep clinical areas continuously in compliance. 11 Recommends staffing levels, selects and assigns staff, evaluates performance, evaluates/tests competencies (as applicable), provides orientation, training and continuing education of staff, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions. 12 Develops budget(s) for the department/unit/entity and allocates funds within budget(s) to accomplish objectives. Monitors variance against budget(s). 13 Coordinates and integrates services within the department/service line/entity, with other departments/service lines/entities, and with the System's primary functions. Participates in the selection of outside services (if needed). 14 Establishes and implements unit goals and objectives in keeping with nursing administration goals and objectives. Acts as liaison between nursing administration and medical staff. 15 Continuously assesses and improves the department/service line/entity/System's performance. Maintains appropriate quality control/assessment programs (if applicable). 16 Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population. Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment. Provides direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s). 17 Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required. 18 Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards. 19 Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
