The person in this position is responsible for performing daily quality checks, performing inspections, and testing of products. This person will aid and support manufacturing by training production personnel on quality criteria. They will monitor process controls and scrap accumulation. The person in this position will be responsible for maintaining the Quality System Procedures and Policies to include Document Control.

Manufacturing/Production Workers


Essential TasksPerform Daily Quality Checks.

  • Aid in Maintaining the Quality System Procedures and Policies.

  • Organizing of Quality Records (Document Control).

  • Inspection and Testing of Product.

  • Support Manufacturing by Training Production Personnel on Quality Criteria.

  • Facilitate Rework and Disposition of Non-Conforming Product.

  • Re-Inspection of Reworked Product.

  • Monitor Process Controls.

  • Monitor Scrap Accumulation.

  • Quality Audits of Control Plan.

  • Data Entry.

  • Act as a Liaison for Production and Quality

  • Special Projects



Education & Training

Completed or in process

High School education or equivalent.

ExperienceBasic Math skills.

Minimum two year's experience in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum one year hands-on experience in quality control.

Knowledge of Injection Molding preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesMay be required to work alternate shifts as business needs require as well as perform other duties as assigned.

Computer skills GroupWise, Excel, Microsoft Word.

AS/400/KBM experience preferred.

Communication skills (verbal & written).

Ability to provide training and guidance to other team members.

Know applicable safety rules and regulations and the hazards of the workplace.


Working RelationshipMust interact, communicate and work effectively with all plant employees and visitors. Demonstrate a working relationship with both internal and external customers. Possess team orientation toward accomplishing plant and company goals.

Extent of SupervisionReports directly to the Quality Manager, who will designate training, measure performance to job expectations and will designate job assignments. Must be responsible and self-motivated to complete assigned duties accurately and timely with minimal supervision.

Safety & Loss Prevention

Employee InvolvementUnderstands and follows plant safety and loss prevention policies and procedures.

Is fully supportive of plant loss prevention efforts, and supports 5S.

Dresses and conducts self in a safe manner.

Makes suggestions and implements ideas to eliminate waste and continually improve processes.

Develops improvements in areas of cost, quality, process, safety, and service to internal and external customers.

Wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

InitiativePossesses self-motivation to take on additional responsibilities to enhance value to organization.

AttendanceMaintain good attendance and punctuality as defined in the Attendance Policy.

Willingly works all hours required.
