AmpThink LLC/Rapid Tooling are looking for an experienced individual to assist and support our Quality Management System (QMS) within our machine shop/manufacturing business unit. The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for the implementation, and maintenance of the organizations Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Requirements

This is a QMS support position. As such, the responsibilities and competencies below are considered essential to success. A minimum of 2-3 years of QMS lead experience in a fast-paced machine shop or manufacturing environment is necessary to excel in this role.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Quality Management System conforms to the latest ISO standard and regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Ensure evaluation of and reporting on vendor quality systems.
  • Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal process, especially those that directly affect the quality of the organizations products.
  • Create internal audit schedule and ensure internal auditors are trained.
  • Report to management all QMS performance metrics.
  • Take ownership and lead periodic management review meetings. Ensure staff are competent and trained on QMS tools whilst driving continuous improvement.
  • Help champion organizations efficiency improvements such as lien/Kaizen activities.
  • Work to improve the efficiency and accuracy of methods and procedures which would improve product quality throughout product realization.
  • Enter nonconformances and Corrective Actions into the ERP system and follow up with CAs to ensure their timely resolution and implementation.
  • Evaluate data gathered from the QMS metrics to target areas of improvement and formulate corrective action plans.
  • Support hands on QC activities within the manufacturing and QC areas.

Requirements and Abilities:

  • Ability to be on your feet most of the working day (occasionally required)
  • Ability to move or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Good machine shop math skills (Apply geometry and trigonometry)
  • Experience with manufacturing QMS tools
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Outstanding communicator with excellent written and verbal skills

Join our team of manufacturing specialists providing solutions to some of the biggest companies in the world. <strong>The manufacturing administrator will manage the processing of all incoming orders as well as manage all aspects of purchasing by using the ERP platform, assembling job travelers, building and tracking live purchase orders with vendors, monitoring due dates, and assisting with questions and issues on active orders. </strong>The Manufacturing Administrator will help us deliver an exceptional customer service experience and will involve direct interaction with company leadership, as well as with customers and vendors of the company.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>This is an administrative &amp; support position. As such, the responsibilities and competencies below are considered essential to success. A minimum of 2-3 years of prior coordinator/administrator experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is necessary to excel in this role.</p><p><br></p><p>Primary Responsibilities</p><p> Order entry into ERP system and cross reference detailed manufacturing documents.</p><p> Check detail order documentation for accuracy against customer requirements.</p><p> Create internal job travelers and review with production to confirm customer delivery date/requirements.</p><p> Proactively communicate with vendors to assure lead times and best possible price targets are met.</p><p> Take full ownership of purchasing process, vendor relations and cost down projects.</p><p> Sending requests for quotes (RFQ’s) to vendors and review pricing feedback.</p><p> Prepare purchasing and RFQ metrics for management review.</p><p> Communicate delays, issues or concerns to internal partners daily.</p><p> Communicate order status directly with customers, both by phone and email.</p><p> Build and maintain relationships and creditability with customers.</p><p> Other administrative tasks as required.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>This is a detailed, multi-tasking role and so the ability to work with a variety of inputs is a must.</p><ul> <li> Must have proven experience and knowledge of similar roles within a fast paced production environment.</li> <li> Familiar with technical manufacturing documents and processes.</li> <li> Must be an analytical problem solver and detail oriented thinker.</li> <li> Upbeat, can-do attitude with a drive for continuous improvement.</li> <li> Highly capable of managing time effectively and prioritizing work load to meet scheduling requirements.</li> <li> Outstanding communication skills.</li> <li> Experience working with manufacturing ERP systems.</li> <li> High level of ability in MS Office, Excel, Word, etc.</li> </ul><p><br></p><p>Please note - relocation is not provided.</p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>AmpThink offers benefits which include 3 weeks of paid leave per year, 8 paid holidays, health insurance (PPO) premium paid in full for employees, and a Simple IRA retirement savings plan which matches dollar for dollar up to 3% of employee's annual salary.
