Objectives of this Role

  • Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards
  • Carefully maintain complaint and non-conformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions
  • Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits
  • Develop new standards for production and design, with improvements as needed, and create testing protocols for implementation across all service lines
  • Identify training needs and take action to ensure company-wide compliance
  • Pursue continuing education on new solutions, technology, and skills
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing product to confirm quality conformance to specifications and quality deliverable
  • Assist operations and local quality function in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels as well as CSR, environmental and health and safety goals/KPIs
  • Analyze and investigate product complaints or reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements
  • Develop or update company complaint and inspection procedures to ensure capture and investigation, as well as proper documentation of complaints
  • Monitor risk-management procedures, and maintain and analyze problem logs to identify and report recurring issues to management and product development
  • Provide training and support to quality assurance team on systems, policies, procedures, and core processes
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor
  • Superb computer competence, including database management
  • Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices and defect management practice

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily functions of the quality assurance component department and technicians. Will be involved in documentation, equipment calibration, inspections procedures, and audits. Duties & Responsibilities: * Control and update of QA documentation – procedures, specifications, inspection sheets * Assure quality assurance records are properly maintained and stored * Review device history records for completion and accuracy * Ensure that in-process and final inspections are performed according to approved procedures * Assisting is evaluating nonconforming products and trend analysis * Oversee the environmental monitoring * Monitor equipment calibration and maintenance Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering or related discipline * 3-5 years progressive leadership within Quality Assurance * Experience working in the medical device industry * Must have working knowledge of quality principles, product sterilization requirements, FDA regulations and ISO certification requirements. * Must have a good understanding of blueprint reading, dimensioning, tolerance practices and statistical quality concepts. * Demonstrated success managing people and building effective team environments, including with remote locations. * Strong proficiency in MS Office products, ERP software and advanced Microsoft Excel required. * Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization. * Strong problem solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate, timely data analysis. * Hands-on, results-orientation professional with an eye for detail and a strong sense of urgency.
