Overview

The Senior Quality Assurance Tester will be responsible for the preparation and coordination of testing, requirement elicitation, documentation, planning, execution and status reporting of test scripts, which supports critical business operations for projects and enhancements across the enterprise, in such a way as to meet and exceed the company's objectives by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the test planning activities Perform test execution planning and coordinationIdentification of test scenarios as a function of requirements review or testing planning meetings Documentation of test scenarios Preparation for and execution of test scenarios Classification and reporting of test results with the guidelines of the test plan

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a 4 year college or university with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject preferred.The following experience and demonstrated knowledge is also required: Experience in software development Experience in performing software quality assurance test execution Basic knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test test scenarios The ability to validating and analyzing requirements

Any Experience in the following areas would be considered a plus Experience with ERP Systems Experience with Defect tracking tools Knowledge of SQL and scripting Expert knowledge of Agile Tools (ServiceNow, TFS, JIRA, VersionOne, CA), Microsoft Excel, PPT, Word, Visio, or other BPM-related tools. In addition, the individual in this role will be engaged in the creation and execution of quality assurance frameworks, tools and practices to optimize product deployments and customer satisfaction.</p><p>Minimum Eligibility Requirements</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education based on one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)</p></li><li><p>Minimum four to seven years of software quality assurance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company</p></li><li><p>3+ years software quality assurance automation experience</p></li><li><p>Ability to work on multiple projects at one time as they are in various stages of development and testing</p></li><li><p>Able to create and maintain automated test scripts with limited supervision while meeting standards</p></li><li><p>Ability to assess the architecture of application landscape and drive the planning, coordination and details for an automation strategy</p></li><li><p>Proven business, infrastructure and support problem-solving skills</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)</p></li><li><p>Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and results driven</p></li><li><p>Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment</p></li></ul><p>POSITION PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li><p>Expert in writing test plans, test cases and providing status reports and summaries across multiple projects</p></li><li><p>Experience with multiple programming languages and software development technologies such as Java, .NET, Python, SQL</p></li><li><p>Proficiency with QA automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, JMeter, Jenkins, Ranorex</p></li><li><p>Experience with Agile methodologies and participation in daily scrum and sprint planning meetings</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in performing cross OS/browser and multi-device testing</p></li><li><p>Proficiency with API testing tools such as SOAPUI, Postman and automation of APIs</p></li><li><p>Proficiency with load testing tools and suites such as JMeter</p></li><li><p>Proficiency with MYSQL and/or Postgres</p></li><li><p>Proficiency creating and maintaining automated testing artifacts</p></li><li><p>Consistency exhibits a thorough understanding of customer requirements and offer suggestions to improve user experience</p></li><li><p>Ability to quickly grasp and learn new tools and technologies as needed to complete job tasks</p></li></ul><p>Essential Functions</p><ul><li><p>Assist in the development and management of automation frameworks</p></li><li><p>Mentor other software quality team members on tools, processes and QA methodologies</p></li><li><p>Drive the planning, coordination and details of multiple projects for the QA group</p></li><li><p>Investigate and recommend automated test approaches for testing new and updated products</p></li><li><p>Ability to communicate clearly and present complex information to users by translating technical information for non-technical stakeholders</p></li><li><p>Ensure QA standards are maintained by all QA team member by performing code reviews of automated test scripts</p></li><li><p>Demonstrate competence with testing tools, processes and standards and apply them effectively to projects.</p></li><li><p>Create and execute manual and automated test plans to ensure products meet the defined requirements for usability and performance</p></li><li><p>Review manual and automated test results to ensure functional and technical requirements have been tested, and defects are documented.</p></li></ul><p>Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)</p><ul><li>The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate</li></ul><p>Physical/Sensory Requirements</p><p>Sedentary Work - Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
