Quality Assurance Technologist - 2Nd Shift

Join our team as a Quality Assurance Technologist for the exciting 2nd Shift role at our facility. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring food safety and product quality standards are met, making a tangible impact on our operations. This opportunity is located in our Norwood, MA manufacturing facility.

Please note this opening is a 2nd Shift role and the hours are as follows and will be explained in more detail during the interview process

• 1:00pm

• 10:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday

• 1:00pm

• 6:00pm and back from 12:00am to 6:00am on Wednesday or Sunday if participating in pre-operational inspection

• 1:00PM

• 10:00pm on occasional Saturdays - a maximum of twice a month with a day off during the following week

Primary Assignments:

• Monitor HACCP requirements, quality control of products, plant conditions, and warehouse storage, ensuring adherence to standards.

• Conduct pre-operational and operational facility inspections, maintaining compliance with regulations.

• Collaborate with Production and Maintenance staff, ensuring product safety and quality through regular communication.

• Assist in training employees on GMPs, HACCP, and SQF standards, fostering a culture of compliance and excellence.

• Perform sensory evaluations of products and troubleshoot food safety and quality issues, overseeing corrective actions and documentation.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in food science, biology, chemistry, or related field required; 2-3 years' experience in quality assurance preferred.

• Knowledge of the food industry required, with preference for experience in the meat industry.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Proficiency in software programs like Microsoft Word and Excel is a must.

• Flexibility to work different shifts and weekends as required.

• Strong organizational skills are necessary for success in this role.
