• Requirement: Previous quality assurance experience is preferred, Knowledge in food safety (HACCP). Ability to communicate and write in English and Spanish (preferred)

Job Summary

SUMMARY: Under general supervision and according to the established policies and procedures, conducts quality assurance audits, space inspections, shop inspections, mechanical space inspections, room and area inspections and department evaluations. Incumbent is guided by thorough knowledge of computer software system for quality program, word processing, data management, supervision, and basic building system knowledge.

Essential Job Functions & Requirements:

• Perform verification and reporting of quality and food safety on production lines, raw materials, and finished products.

• Conduct pre-operational and operational inspections.

• Conduct direct observations of Critical Control Points

• Conducts equipment Calibrations.

• Verify and document that GMP's are properly followed.

• Identify potential quality and food safety issues, communicates and place items on hold as needed.

• Understanding of food safety and quality

• Strong interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively work with all managerial and employee levels.

• Ability to communicate and write in English and Spanish (preferred)

• Problem Solving and innovative skills.

• Ability to work and collaborate in teams.

• Knowledge in food safety (HACCP), microbiology, and food chemistry (Desirable)

• Strong knowledge in good manufacturing practices

• Computer skills, to include Office, Excel.
