ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures in compliance with Berry Global, Inc.'s guidelines.

  • Visually inspects the entire manufacturing facility for tripping hazards, equipment safeguards and helps to maintain a clean work environment.

  • Assists QC supervisor to implement and oversee quality production program to ensure that all manufactured products meet quality standards and customer specifications.

  • Assists with analyzing routine tests, inspection forms and/or charts.

  • Conducts various testing and monitoring all aspects of quality.

  • Assists with identification of quality problems and determines the cause in order to prevent reoccurrence.

  • Assists with inspections of all returned products and reports findings to Department Manager.

  • Ensures necessary paperwork is completed and assists in preparation with various reports.

  • Ability to communicate with Manufacturing, Logistics, and all other parties involved as necessary through written and verbal correspondence.

  • Ability to perform duties with minimal direction.

  • Basic computer skills are needed with the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and company software programs.

VIEW JOBS 11/3/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-01T00:00 Job Summary: As a Process Technician, you will perform and document technical tests and experiments for process engineering and R&D. This involves processing experimental product and test runs, and preparing records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering, to identify yield problems or test new products. In addition, during your shift, you will support the 24x7 manufacturing of wafers used in Automotive and Consumer applications throughout the world. In this team based environment, you will work closely with process and device engineers to execute new product, process, and yield improvement activities while monitoring, auditing, and providing guidance to line operators on a daily basis. Performance Objectives: In this role, you will have an opportunity to: * Work a schedule, 4 days on/off, 12 hour days or 12 hour nights depending on need. * Interface with a team of engineers, technicians and line operators in a fast paced manufacturing environment on a daily basis. * Communicate clearly and concisely using the established methods, especially on shift-to-shift pass-downs and documentation of observed issues related to product being manufactured or equipment condition. * Within the first two months, you will learn how to operate most of the measurement equipment in the manufacturing line and certain manufacturing equipment that has not yet be turned over to production. In addition, you will be able to set up and execute experiments properly utilizing the established systems. * Within the first six months you will be expected to handle certain product disposition and interpret and respond to certain SPC (Statistical Process Control) violations. You may be asked to participate on a team to solve a yield issue or to drive continuous improvement in a specific area. You may also be asked to help write an operating procedure and train line operators on a new process or procedure. Requirements: * AA degree in Engineering or Physical Science Degree * Demonstrated manufacturing experience, preferably in semiconductor wafer manufacturing. * Organized, detail oriented individual able to succeed in a team based environment * Effectively communicate with line operators other technicians and engineers both orally and written * Prioritize and multi-task on a daily basis * Basic computer skills in MS Excel and Word * Basic understanding of SPC principles ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ON) is driving energy efficient innovations, empowering customers to reduce global energy use.
