ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures in compliance with Berry Global, Inc.'s guidelines.

  • Visually inspects the entire manufacturing facility for tripping hazards, equipment safeguards and helps to maintain a clean work environment.

  • Assists QC supervisor to implement and oversee quality production program to ensure that all manufactured products meet quality standards and customer specifications.

  • Assists with analyzing routine tests, inspection forms and/or charts.

  • Conducts various testing and monitoring all aspects of quality.

  • Assists with identification of quality problems and determines the cause in order to prevent reoccurrence.

  • Assists with inspections of all returned products and reports findings to Department Manager.

  • Ensures necessary paperwork is completed and assists in preparation with various reports.

  • Ability to communicate with Manufacturing, Logistics, and all other parties involved as necessary through written and verbal correspondence.

  • Ability to perform duties with minimal direction.

  • Basic computer skills are needed with the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and company software programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Test film for defects ensuring film is within in order specifications. Tests and reworks product as necessary. Test and monitors R&D projects and tracks results. Verifies that all production orders have correct resin, additives and add-ins. Checks operators' product quality and verifies product quality continuously throughout shift. Responsible for placing defective product on hold until a determination can be made. Routinely inspects production area for safety hazards and/or incorrect manufacturing processes and procedures. Essential Skill and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety and quality rules & absolutes, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and order forms or checklists. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with co-workers or groups of co-workers, supervisors or others within the company. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Essential Physical Requirements: Walking to inspect raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods and overall manufacturing and warehouse operations for as much as 100% of workday. Sitting to prepare reports and use computer equipment for approximately 5% of workday. Must be able to assist with set-ups and mechanical repairs which can require: Standing for as much as 100% of workday. Reaching with hands and arms for as much as 25% of workday. Climbing or balancing for as much as 25% of workday. Kneeling, stooping, crouching or crawling for as much as 10% of workday. Bending, twisting, reaching, and leaning for as much as 75% of workday.
