Quality Assurance Technician

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Quality Assurance Technicians primary mission is to represents the interests of the customer and present the voice of the customer (VoC) within the plant. This position requires high degree of accuracy and organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review schedule and prepare checklists

• Review job tickets and technical specifications

• Perform in-process checks according to technical and customer specifications including (but not limited to)

• Roll conformity

• Packout

• Slitting dimensions

• Support other QA Technicians on in-process checks

• Print quality

• Color accuracy

• Lamination bonds

• Coefficient of Friction

• Gas Chromatography

• Heat seals

• Identify and contain any and all non-conforming material

• Communicate with operators and shift supervisors findings / trends

• Prepare and distribute Certificates of Analysis

• Provide support to manufacturing with problem solving activities

• Manage filing of records and retain samples

• Report safety near misses and observations

• Participate in food safety audits and procedures

• Maintain work area and equipment following prescribed safety instructions.

• Provide communication and periodic reports as directed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years' experience in a quality assurance manufacturing environment
• Experience with Microsoft applications

3rd shift (10 pm to 6 am)

$2/hr shift premium
