Quality Assurance Supervisor

Salary Range: $75,518 - $90,621 Annually

GGRC is currently hiring for a Quality Assurance Supervisor. This role oversee the Quality Assurance unit in its effort to monitor, evaluate and support residential and nonresidential programs consistent with Title 17 and Home and Community Based Regulations

This is a Hybrid flex schedule role offering the opportunity to work in the community, from any of our offices located in San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin County and from the comfort of your own home.

What you'll do

  • In partnership with Quality Assurance Manager implement Quality Assurance policies and practices, including evaluation, technical assistance, and monitoring of GGRC provider services using strategies that promote person-centered practices, are collaborative with individuals receiving services, service providers and other GGRC departments, and other key stakeholders as appropriate
  • Stay updated on current Quality Assurance trends and work with GGRC leadership to update Agency quality assurance practices as relevant
  • Respond to service quality concerns raised by GGRC staff and community stakeholders as appropriate, including but not limited to: service quality concerns from individuals receiving services and/or their families, whistleblower complaints submitted to DDS, and concerns raised by GGRC social workers or other staff.
  • Identify service provider training and technical support needs; develop and implement related trainings
  • Assist in the implementation of Residential Services Orientation (RSO)
  • Provide supervision, direction, and team leadership to Quality Assurance Specialists and Quality Improvement and Risk Analysis Specialist
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training new direct reports and training others in the Community Services Department as appropriate
  • Contribute to leadership of the Community Services Department by participating in planning and facilitating departmentwide meetings and Quality Assurance Unit meetings, assisting in covering management duties in Quality Assurance Unit in Quality Assurance Managers absence

Oversee development and monitoring of Corrective Action Plans and provider Sanctions in accordance with Title 17

Serve on in-house and community committees and task forces to educate, dialogue, and improve quality of community programs.

  • Attend Service Provider Advisory Committee meetings as well as other identified community groups as needed
  • Attend Community Care Licensing (CCL) meetings
  • In absence of Quality Assurance Manager represent GGRC on the DDS (Mission Analytics) Risk Management Advisory and Planning Committee (RMAPC)
  • Provide consultation on Title 17 regulations and HCBS Final Rule regulations
  • Assist with follow up on Special Incident Reporting as appropriate
  • Participate as a member of the Risk Management Committee
  • In partnership with the Quality Improvement and Risk Analysis Specialist complete data analysis and generate targeted reports to present at the Risk Management Committee
  • Review quarterly risk management reports provided by partner agencies and develop quality improvement strategies as needed

Skills:

  • Basic familiarity with MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS PowerPoint®, MS Outlook® or similar software applications
  • Written communication: ability to develop standard business communications, using proper grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Oral communication: ability to convey complex information and ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner
  • Program design and evaluation
  • Experience in leading group trainings and workshops
  • Quality Assurance and/or quality management systems experience
  • Ability to interpret regulations and educate others in how to evaluate effective application of regulation

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Special Education, Business Administration, or related field or bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience working with developmentally disabled
  • 2+ years’ work experience with the developmentally disabled
