Quality Assurance Supervisor

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our plant in Cedarburg, WI that produces fluid milk and cream. In this role you will be responsible for plant adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP).

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct GMP training for new employees as well as the monthly plant employee training.

• Oversee the functions of the janitorial vendor.

• Oversee lab technicians and function as the primary back-up for the Lab Supervisor as needed.

• Measure the performance of the sanitation procedures and CIP systems. Monitor the recording charts and perform chemical strength tests.

• Review lab records as necessary, including yeast/mold, coliform, environmental and charm ATP swabs determining the effectiveness of SSOP's.

• Audit the master sanitation cleaning schedules and report results to management.

• Audit HACCP records for the fluid milk plant on a weekly basis and report results.

• Assist the Manager of Quality Assurance and Compliance in developing quality programs in the plant and work with external auditors, both regulatory and internal.

• Function as liaison between plant and chemical supply companies.

• Minimize water usage and the generation of wastewater within the scope of position.

• Follow and make sure department follows all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements.

• Follow and make sure department follows all safety and environmental regulations.

• Bachelor of Science degree in food science, biological sciences, chemistry, or related field preferred. Will consider a minimum of 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

• 2-4 years of experience in a quality department with knowledge and experience in labs and sanitation departments.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.

• Dairy experience is preferred; seeking a candidate with work experience in the food and beverage industry.

• Ability to calibrate a variety of testing equipment.

• Strong computer proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and computer systems.
