Quality Assurance Supervisor

JOB PURPOSE

Supervise Quality department of a manufacturing facility for the oil and gas industry. Ensure delivery against quality department goals and objectives, i.e. meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality schedule.

Provide necessary definition, development and deployment of product quality strategy, addressing all phases of product development. Develops, supervises and supports the quality functions of the business to ensure that it has the right processes, skills, materials, information and procedures to consistently meet legislative requirements, customer requirements, and the standards established by formal management systems worldwide.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.

Effectively interact with teams to establish quality requirements

Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation.

Review standards and assists in establishing clearly defined quality methods and procedures for staff.

Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.

Assist with auditors and ensuring corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications.

Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.

Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training.

Collating and analyzing performance data and charts against defined parameters.

Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that modifications are investigated if necessary.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma required

Technical or Associate's Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE

1- 3 years of related experience in oil and gas experience.

Perforating experience preferred.

Experience in a Lead capacity preferred.

Thorough knowledge of general manufacturing processes.

Must have operational knowledge of various test equipment including measurement devices.

Demonstrated effective leadership abilities and application of skills required.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Must have good organizational skills and familiarity with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Practical problem-solving skills

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.

ATTRIBUTES

Ability to multi-task, solid analytical capabilities, proficient in computer programs, team player, and good communication skills
