  • Support the assigned internal and the external 3PL Distribution Centers for Quality and Food Safety programs.

  • Responsible for the Carlstadt Distribution Center Food Safety Plan/HACCP.

  • Responsible for investigating and responding to Carlstadt customer complaints.

  • Oversees the supplier complaint process/vendor non-conformance procedure for the internal and the external 3PL Distribution Centers.

  • Conducts and maintains the new hire and annual GMP and HACCP/FSMA training at the Carlstadt Distribution Center.

  • Responsible for the Carlstadt Distribution Center audits including but not limited to: Regulatory, NSF, State, Customer, etc.

  • Write/train/maintain/monitor Quality Assurance policies and programs as required.

  • Responsible for generating hold-release forms, placing product on hold, releasing product, and maintaining hold logs.

  • Provides QA support for the rejected load procedure including investigating incidents and providing product disposition recommendations.

  • Provide onboarding and training for new 3PL Distribution Centers.

  • Identify potential Food Safety risks.

  • Audit 3PL Distribution Centers to ensure GMPs, HACCP, Food Defense and Saputo Supplier Expectation manual compliance.

  • Responsible for the shelf life extension approval process.

  • Partner with internal business partners like Supply Chain and Sales to investigate and resolve Food Safety risks.

  • Be available for special projects related to the success of the business.

  • Assume a lead role in trace exercises twice per year at Carlstadt and once per year for the 3PL Distribution Centers.

Job Requirements


  • Minimum of a two-year degree or acceptable level of education, training and experience with perishables. Dairy industry preferred.

  • 3 years of prior Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience.

  • Proven organizational, problem-solving, decision making and technical skills.

  • Efficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.

  • Able to utilize basic math skills for monitoring weight control and document reconciliation.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Able to work independently with attention to detail.

  • Able to effectively interact with all levels of the organization professionally.

  • Knowledge of food and dairy industry and /or distribution.

  • Able to work in temperatures varying between 30 80 F.

  • Travel requirement: up to 25%.

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you’ll be part of the growing Business Automation team, delivering transformative processes to various business operations using advanced technology. You’ll work with Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and Integration and Configuration Analysts, to understand development and automation objectives and create an effective quality assurance program that ensures business objectives are met. Using a combination of automated and manual approaches, your test plans will establish confidence among stakeholders that team deliverables generate expected value. You’ll also serve as an evangelist for quality assurance and user acceptance testing being a critical part of any implementation, and support that by adding consistency and transparency to the process. In addition, you’ll… * Develop and execute quality assurance test plans designed to measure the accuracy, quality, and performance of rules, configurations, integrations and data mapping managed by Business Automation. * Work with Integration and Configuration Analysts, as well as end users, to help build understanding of development objectives and create Quality Assurance and User Acceptance test plans. * Coordinate QA and User Acceptance testing, including documentation and communication of test plans and test results. * Measure and monitor testing completeness throughout the QA/UAT processes, keeping the Manager aware of progress in a timely manner. * Recommend solutions when testing reveals issues. * Assist in development of and adhere to quality assurance standards. * Provide guidance and direction to other Quality Assurance analysts. Do you have what it takes? * 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance . Experience in unit, end-to-end, regression, performance, integration, and user acceptance testing preferred. * Experience developing and executing manual testing. Automated testing experience a plus. * Best practices for developing and executing testing strategies * Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum and/or Kanban * JIRA (or other defect tracking software).
