Quality Assurance Specialist, Mid

Key Role:

Provide the necessary level of administrative, professional, technical, and data entry support required to facilitate the overall operational objectives of the laboratory's mission. Contribute to the management and improvement of the Quality Assurance (QA) system. Ensure the laboratory is conducting its QA system in accordance to both International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 9000, 9001, 9004, and 17025 standards and National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) requirements for ionizing radiation dosimetry. Conduct internal audits, surveillances, and document revisions. Compile statistics and data to conduct statistical trend analysis, track turn-around times, and document performance metrics.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with quality or process improvement

  • 1+ years of experience with major computer operating systems and Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience with metric support

  • Secret clearance

  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with military technical documents

Clearance:

For GS-07 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector gathering data; assisting with maintaining the quality of products or services in one of the following areas: quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production or other related areas. For GS-09 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector maintaining the quality of products or services in one of the following areas: quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production or other related areas.
