Duties
As a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (QUALITY PROGRAM MANAGER, you will:
Create and implement procedures and policies essential for effective Quality program management. Contribute to and participate in a variety of administrative and operational activities for the Division.
Lead matrix-management type groups in pursuit of program and office objectives.
lead and support cross-functional teams, composed of members from internal BEP office and external customer agencies, both in development and deployment of a product or system to accomplish stated quality objectives.
Serve as a team lead of a major OQEM program for the Division Manager, plan and coordinate work assignments for junior staff members.
Lead efforts related to the development and implementation of banknote quality plans, standards, and procedures.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:implementing quality assurance programs, principles and practices in a manufacturing environment, and, developing quality assurance policies/procedures related to monitoring, measuring, and inspection systems or quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
Examples could include but are not limited to:
Managing the implementation of inspection system control programs in a manufacturing facility, production operation, or laboratory; OR
Managing the establishment quality standards in a manufacturing facility, production operation, and laboratory
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.

This is a non-bargaining unit position.
The facility typically shuts down annually between Christmas and New Year's Day. As such, all BEP employees must take leave for work days during the shutdown period.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
A one-year probationary period may be required.
