Responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, your duties may include, but not limited to:

  • Plan and conduct quality program audits of various systems, programs, and processes;

  • Utilize a variety of administrative, analytical, and technical methods and techniques to insure the quality and reliability of products;

  • Plans and conducts scheduled procedure evaluations for compliance and program operation adequacy;

  • Initiates appropriate level of corrective action requests and action letters for deficiencies identified;

  • Prepare written reports, memoranda and correspondence detailing results of audits;

  • Analyzes and develops budget exhibits and budget justifications, including developing reclaims/issue papers to program budget marks;

  • Reviewing contractor's production activities and capability in light of contract quality requirements;

  • Insuring contractor understands the contractual requirements;

  • Analyzing quality data to detect unsatisfactory trends;

  • You will ensure compliance to instructions, procedures, processes and quality programs fully comply with all requirements necessary to support different certifications;

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field H (Production, Quality and Manufacturing), Level I or II. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

  • This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

  • These positions require Security Clearance depending on the position that you are being selected for you may be required to obtain and maintain a Secret, Top Secret Security Clearance, or Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) or NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing work involved in planning, developing, or administering quality assurance programs supporting the development, acquisition, production, use, maintenance, storage, and supply of products required by Federal agencies.

Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows for GS-07: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: 1 full year of graduate level education which includes major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical science, textiles, or other fields related to the position or a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement that includes major study in quality assurance or related field OR a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows for GS-09: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: master's or equivalent graduate degree which includes or is supplemented by major study major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical science, textiles, or other fields related to the position or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which includes major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical science, textiles, or other fields related to the position or LL.B. or J.D., if directly related to the position OR a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

General Summary The District Quality Monitor is responsible for ensuring implementation, maintenance and ongoing development of the organizations Quality Management System (QMS) at the District level. Essential Job Functions * Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety and quality standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern * Adheres to and is a champion of TEAM's Core Values * Implements, maintains and develops all aspects of the QMS to ensure continuous improvement throughout the assigned District * Performs District assessments on performance and reporting of the effectiveness of the QMS, and as applicable, compliance with customer, and/or industry related requirements (ISO9001, 10CFR50, etc.) * Ensures the resolution of non-conformances, corrective actions, customer complaints and other issues, that are identified through the performance of these assessment actions * Plans and assists third-party (registrar) and customer assessments and District Internal Audits. * Works with Regional Quality Specialist in developing and implementing corrective actions, performs follow-up work as needed to ensure that corrective actions are effective * Ensures customer satisfaction through the analysis and reporting of customer satisfaction data (i.e., customer surveys) * Identifies, tracks and promotes the resolution of customer issue, providing guidance to District management and Corporate QA for such resolution * Performs District Supplier assessments in cooperation with Corporate QA to ensure compliance with the organization's quality, technical, and purchasing requirements * Maintains a District approved supplier list (ASL) for "Commercial" suppliers (as applicable) * Assists the District in creating control logs for equipment calibration and asset tracking * Assists in completion of annual management reviews, record retention and destruction policy, maintenance of controlled District documents * Tracks and monitors District qualifications and certification programs and personnel associated with the programs * Assists with contract review, planning, and scheduling * Maintains an awareness and understanding of all applicable regulations, codes, standards and specifications, as well as company policies and procedures communicating these requirements to affected branch personnel as necessary * Provides training (QMS, Receipt Inspection, etc.), as necessary to District personnel, including customers, to obtain program compliance, process efficiency and effectiveness, cooperation and morale * Act as the liaison to Corporate and Regional Quality Assurance personnel Job Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent required * Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred * Five (5) or more years of relevant industry experience preferred * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint required * Travel Requirements: 0% - 25% Work Conditions * Position is located at the District office * Work is conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting * Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
