Summary

About the Position: Defense Contract Management Agency uses the Expedited Hiring Authority to recruit and appoint qualified individuals directly into shortage category or critical need acquisition positions.
Responsibilities

Reviews contracts and technical data packages to identify the specification requirements which the contractor's processes must meet.
Establishes and maintains communications with contractor's top management to ensure understanding exists for acceptable quality evidence for purchased materials, vendor controls, shipment, key process measurement and analysis.
Designs, plans and implements an effective risk management program to ensure that all threats to the successful delivery of the contract are addressed and mitigated in the Government's best interests.
Performs risk assessments and analysis, relying on relevant customer, supplier performance, and Government data, and assigns risk ratings to quality systems and key processes.

Travel Required

Occasional travel - Business Travel required 5% of the time.

Experience evaluating and inspecting production methods, processes and testing techniques being performed by contractors. Experience performing quality data analysis and evaluation. Experience performing process reviews and product examinations.

This position requires a highly motivated, tenacious, self-starter who can assimilate new information quickly and enjoys working closely with others within a fast-paced project execution environment. The individual will perform activities in support of dispositioning product while ensuring compliance with Sarepta procedures, process requirements, and regulatory standards. Primary Responsibilities Include: Contributing to key functional, tactical, and operational aspects of Sarepta QA Operations at the Andover site. This includes approval & oversight of MFG and QC activities associated with exceptions, CAPA, deviations, analytical oversight, change control requests, and other documentation related to Mfg and QA operations. Evaluating impact, ensuring adherence to compliance standards, including technical ability to evaluate & approve these quality system elements, as delegated by management. Partnering with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO) and Contract Testing Laboratories regarding review and approval of MBRs, Executed Batch Records and Testing Data. Developing, implementing and improving a quality system for Lot Release and Disposition of Plasmids (primary) and Drug Substance/Drug Products (secondary) intended for use in Clinical Trials, as well as commercial use. Implementing a standard, metric based release program that facilitates lot release planning. Assisting in Investigation activities, Corrective and Preventive Action activities, Change Control activities and providing general quality assurance support for the overall Quality System in place at Sarepta. Working with various user groups to facilitate Material Release workflow processes. Attending CMOs meetings as applicable to ensure resolution of batch record review comments or questions. Representing QA on project teams as required. Assisting with SOP writing and other QA activities as required. Participating in external audit program as needed. Interacting with CMOs/CTLs and other groups across Sarepta. Education and Skills Requirements: Bachelor's Degree preferred or comparable industry experience. Minimum 8 - 10 years' experience in a regulated industry required; experience with general Quality Systems in a regulated environment, with a focus on Lot Release, Product Disposition, and Investigation/Deviation writing and reviewing. Experience with Biologics, preferably Gene Therapy products. Understanding of FDA GMP/GCP/GLP Quality Requirements; familiarity with FDA, EMA and ICH current Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices. Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills. Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Mature leadership approach and understanding of personal communication style to manage effectively. Ability to exercise judgment to determine appropriate corrective actions. Proficiency in project management, process improvement and ability to address through risk assessment. The ability to work effectively, independently and within a team framework, across all business areas and levels of the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including editing, formatting, utilizing templates, creating forms and embedding hyperlinks, and basic experience and competency with Excel and Adobe Acrobat Professional is required.
