Job Summary:

Basic Research is looking to hire an experienced Quality Assurance professional to be responsible for functionality of Quality Assurance activities in our production environment. Our product is distributed in 45,000 individual retail outlets in more than 35 countries worldwide and we've sold over 60 million products across more than 25 brands. Function responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities within this Quality Assurance function may include:

  • Prepare internal Batch Production Records to be used during production

  • Review and audit internal and external batch production documentation

  • Coordinate with 3rd party laboratories to ensure proper tests are conducted

  • Performing internal product testing

  • Review and audit internal processes, procedures, and documentation

  • Assists improvement and training of employees in GMP-related activities

  • Assists design of Quality innovation and improvement

  • Quality trending analytics to drive continual improvement

  • Review and investigate customer feedback and complaints

Preferred Qualification and

Skills:
  • Quality or Compliance/Regulatory experience in a manufacturing environment (1-2 years)

  • Experience with design and implementation of process, procedures, and documentation to meet regulations, including GMPs

  • Degree in physical science or mathematics

Primary functions include design verification testing, R&D testing, Technical Support, QA and Field Technician escalation, and training. The Apps Testing Technician ensures product quality by thoroughly testing all new product designs and updates of existing products. Job Duties and Requirements Job Responsibilities: * Design Verification Testing o Testing will be performed in three major categories: performance, functionality and application testing. Testing will verify product conformance to requirements. Performance testing verifies conformance to electrical specifications. Functionality testing verifies functions including controls, displays, hardware and software. Application testing verifies that the product meets end user requirements within specified environments. Interoperability testing verifies that the unit under test will operate with other specified devices/systems/networks. o The Quality Assurance Test Technician is responsible for identifying and reporting all bugs and verifying bug fixes. The Quality Assurance Test Technician may identify shortcomings in the product specification and suggest appropriate enhancements. During the test phase, testing will be extended into the real world environment. Select customers will evaluate the performance of test units in their specific applications. The Quality Assurance Test Technician will provide support to external test sites and record results. * R&D Testing o The Quality Assurance Test Technician will provide product and component evaluations to aid Product Management and Engineering in the research and development of new or concept products and/or technologies. This testing may include functional and performance evaluations and product comparisons. * Escalation Support o The Quality Assurance Test Technician will train technical support and field sales engineering staff on all new products prior to product release. The Quality Assurance Test Technician will assist the customer technical support group to resolve difficult issues including staging customer applications, generating general enhancement requests, assisting field sales technicians with difficult projects or installations, reviewing technical documents, developing and providing detailed product support via engineering notes. Education and Experience Qualifications / Experience: * Requires an Associate's degree in electronics technology or equivalent * Minimum of 4 years of experience in an IT technical support role. * Must be familiar with networking technology. * Ability to develop test cases based on product requirements and use case scenarios. * Must be detail oriented and well organized and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Must be willing to work overtime as required to meet deadlines and support internal and external customers. * Ability to work individually and with a team. * Must be able to use computer applications and test equipment. * Must have excellent auditory and visual capabilities and ability to discriminate between various aspects of sound quality and video quality. * Familiarity with Voice over IP technology is a plus. * Experience troubleshooting A/V products is a plus.
