For Critical Nurse Staffing, LLC (CNS), this position is responsible for the quality activities of CNS and is accountabile for the monitoring, implementation, and evaluation of processes and programs to meet regulatory compliance and standards of practice.


  • One (1) year of experience in home health nursing mandatory.
  • One (1) year of experience in quality assurance preferred.

Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse license to practice professional nursing in the state in which the employee resides.

Job Performance:

  • Assists with the organization and direction of the quality assurance program.
  • Monitors quality and appropriateness of services and products.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness and outcomes of patient care.
  • Performs routine client care record audits.
  • Educates staff about home health statutes and administrative rules/regulations.
  • Participates in other health, civic, education and professional groups as directed.
  • Facilitates or consults CNS Leadership as needed and to communicate and facilitate the on-going process of development, implementation, and revision of clinical systems.
  • Maintains an understanding and working knowledge of current nursing and other clinical systems, functions, and relationships as they relate/interface with other technologies within the enterprise and affected work processes.

Travel to agencies will be required throughout the year. Tasks include ensuring each office follows mandated requirements, auditing employee and client files, compiling trends, and reports on quality data. This position will also support and maintain minutes for all QAPI meetings. The QAPI Coordinator will also participate in Process Improvement Project teams (PIP), through supporting, mentoring and occasionally leading PIP teams. * Establishes a process model for improvement and provides training and education to the services@home team to ensure understanding and compliance with state and federal regulations as well as policies and procedures. * Act as incident report coordinator for all reportable incidents to state and federal agencies. * Maintain grievance log for services@home department (all locations). * Coordinate all services@home investigations, including standardizing the investigation process and report, ensuring prompt follow through from department, training staff on process, final review of investigation, reporting as necessary to Medicaid fraud department and to GSS CIN line if applicable. * Acts as lead for all state and federal audits, including creating corrective action plan for any deficiencies. * Creates and updates tool for audits as necessary. Prepares monthly QAPI meetings and establishes meeting minutes. * Supports each location Professional Advisory Board meeting. * Conducts scheduled audits of client and complete QI report on audits to each operations director and executive director monthly. Conducts scheduled audit of electronic visit verification for each office. * Ensures the annual QAPI assessment is completed and coordinates the formulation of the annual QAPI plan. * Appropriately initiates Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs). * Provides staff education and training on PIP teams and other QAPI endeavors. * Ensure compliance with all HIPAA and GSS compliance policies/regulations. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications * High school diploma or its equivalent. * One year experience in home healthcare or in an agency serving disabled or elderly populations preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality of client and employee information. * Demonstrates ability to multitask and meet deadlines accurately. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. Organized, flexible and accurate. * Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. * Working knowledge of computer software such as word processing and spreadsheets. Basic knowledge of home healthcare, federal/state benefits for people with disabilities such as Medicaid, Social Security, and Waiver programs.
