Description of Duties:
The Quality Assurance (QA) /Quality Control (QC) Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
- Track Quality Control metrics and applies quality methodologies and principles to develop audits that will drive continuous improvement
- Supervise QA/QC tasks for adherence to standards, policies, and procedures
- Responsible for initial training and onboarding of incoming QA/QC personnel
- Define goals and objectives for the QA/QC team in collaboration with the Quality Program Manager, Quality Engineering, Quality Control, Mission Assurance, and Risk Management
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis
- Participate in SIPOC development for Essential Support Functions and supporting entities
- Assist in the development of KPIs and CTQs IAW industry standards and contractual requirements
- Apply Quality methodologies (i.e. A3, process flows, 5 Whys, 8D, etc.)
- Create and report (monthly) quality assurance metrics, to include analysis of metrics into actionable data for reporting and data driven decision-making
- Manage staff to promote dedication, accountability, commitment, productivity and growth
- Mentor/support career development of personnel
- Conduct performance reviews
- Escalate issues to Quality Program Manager
- Monitor daily team activities, track productivity, and employee performance
- Perform peer reviews of completed work
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to work independently or in a group setting and communicate issues and concerns clearly to all levels of leadership
- Have strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills

Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 16 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 14 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 12 years of general experience; Master's degree and 10 years of general experience
- Must have 9 years of direct Quality experience
- Must have 3 years of experience working in a management or leadership role
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Must have experience using Power BI
- Must have experience supporting the IRES contract
- Must have a current DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements:
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to analyze complex problems
- Proficiency in statistical analysis to include collecting, exploring and presenting actionable data to discover underlying patterns and trends
- Understanding and ability to present Quality strategy
- Have ASQ Quality certification
- Have experience with Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis
- Have Lean Six Sigma experience
- Have a working knowledge of Risk Management Systems, ISO 9001, and AS 9100D with practical application experience
- Have experience using defect tracking tools and engineering tools used to document physical systems (e.g., Planet, Bentley, Maximo)
This position is expected to pay $123,000 - $148,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
