The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will understand the customer and corporate needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes. This position supports a large-scale IT program supporting the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). We are looking for a person that is interested in improving the quality of healthcare nationwide.

  • Establish quality procedures, standards and specifications

  • Define quality procedures in conjunction with delivery teams

  • Conduct process and product audits in support of ISO 9001 and CMMI for development and services practices

  • Support the maintenance of core documented processes and procedures

  • Work with all program units to promote quality achievement and performance improvement in support of NewWave's quality objectives

  • Provide training quality plans, processes, procedures, and templates.

  • Document, monitor, and report statuses of corrective and preventive actions

  • Support Operating units with quality issues and improvements

  • Participate in reviews, walkthroughs, assessments, formal quality audits, and inspections

  • Identify impediments to quality and project execution; recommend corrective action items

  • Promote/support process improvement initiatives

  • Works with our customer and the program team to ensure deliver of a quality solution.


  • Bachelor's Degree and/or at least 5 years of experience in the field or a related area

  • 5+ years of experience working in a quality assurance or PPQA role

  • Experience with CMMI for Development and Services to include ML3 and ML4

  • Understand how to apply quality standards to software and services

  • Familiarity with tools, concepts, and methodologies of quality management

  • Understanding of Agile Software Development/Engineering environments

  • Excellent analytical abilities

  • Ability to effectively multi-task


  • Experience with LEAN / Six Sigma, and/or PMI methodologies a plus

  • ISO 9001

  • ASQ Certification


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Microsoft Project

  • Microsoft Visio

  • SharePoint

Residency Requirement

  • Must have lived in the United States at least 3 out of 5 years.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills - must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing

  • Should be deadline and closure oriented, work under tight time constraints with changing requirements.

  • Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work with cross functional teams including senior level individuals.

VIEW JOBS 10/9/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-07T00:00 The Quality Assurance Manager/ Operations Support Manager at Brightview Senior Living supports the operations of our portfolio of communities by providing coaching, tools, research, documentation and support to our community teams and senior management. Brightview is a growing, privately- held company based out of Baltimore, MD that owns, develops and manages over 40 high-end Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care communities in 8 states throughout the Mid- Atlantic, New York Metro and New England markets. In this role, you will conduct our communities' quality assurance assessments, which includes customizing our QA tools, documenting the findings, and providing our teams with coaching for compliance. Additional QA responsibilities include monitoring our Quarterly Operational Audits to document and identify trends, action items and responses to any deficiencies. You will coordinate any reassessments and monitor state survey results to assist in crafting strategies to help our communities prepare and minimize any potential risk. The Operations Support Manager will also be responsible for maintaining a detailed knowledge of each state's regulations and collaborating with our leadership teams to introduce new policies and procedures that ensure that we operate within those requirements. As Brightview opens new communities, you will also assist in training our new teams, preparing for state licensing and maintaining our P&P, operating and pre-opening manuals. This is a critical role within the Brightview Operations Team, and it allows for the opportunity to create a dramatic and positive impact on our residents' ability to live an active, vibrant life! Supervisory responsibilities: * While this role has no direct reports, the Operations Support Specialist may be involved in coaching community/ and or regional leaders, recommending corrective action, addressing complaints and resolving operational problems. With our residents in mind, the right candidate will have: * Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in the senior living industry. * Advanced knowledge of senior living regulations required. * Experience in a multi-state senior living environment preferred. * Ability to travel within the portfolio up to 75% of the time and currently located within our operating portfolio. * Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet based applications such as web conferencing. * Excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing. * Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to connect and communicate effectively with associates of all levels; ability to speak in front of large and diverse audiences. * Ability to manage projects and to organize and manage multiple priorities. * Strong customer orientation to older adults. * Positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy.
