Quality Assurance & Project Specialist 2 - Training
Who We Are
The Georgia Department of Revenue Motor Vehicle Division is primarily responsible for partnering with the 159 Georgia counties to facilitate applications for title and vehicle registrations. The division issues Georgia Certificates of Title, Commercial Vehicle permits and various license plates, and records liens and security interests on all vehicles registered in the State of Georgia.

What You Will Do
Under general supervision, you will be primarily responsible for delivering positive, engaging, and effective learning experiences for new hires and current employees. This will include developing, assessing, planning, and coordinating virtual and/or onsite training sessions, supporting internal customers by providing updates and tools for continued improvement, and evaluating training needs and effectiveness of training courses.
Additionally, the role calls for commitment to excellent customer service, attention to detail, and dedication to conducting oneself as a credible & trustworthy representative of state government.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Providing assistance with conducting employee onboarding, training, and assessments virtually and in-person
Demonstrating the ability to develop instructional materials, course outlines and lesson plans in a Learning Management system to ensure course content meets objectives
Creating, updating, tracking & testing training templates, assessments, and evaluation forms
Researching topics to develop training content
Collaborating with team to develop training strategies, initiatives, and materials
Maintaining a database of all training materials
Reviewing employee learning performance
Utilizing effective written and verbal communication skills.
Organizing work, determining objectives, and setting priorities to manage own time and workload effectively.
What qualifications are required? Applicants will not be considered unless they possess the following:
Bachelor degree in Business or related field from an accredited college or university AND two years of experience related to the area of assignment.
Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience, and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis, (such as a high school diploma and more than 5 years of related experience).
The Essentials: Applicants who are recommended for selection must be able to demonstrate ALL of the following:
Experience onboarding, training, and providing assessments to new/current staff
Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) such as, Proprofs, Class Marker, Adobe, or similar
Proficient computer skills to include the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, & PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Teamwork and Cooperation: Ability to promote the team atmosphere and work well with co-workers & leadership
Judgment and Decision Making: Demonstrated ability to weigh the needs of the taxpayers and the department to decide the best course of action for all parties
Accountability: Ability to accept responsibility for one's actions with honesty and integrity, while maintaining credibility and remaining committed to organizational success
Customer Service: Ability to appropriately address internal & external customer issues while respecting business needs
Results Orientation: Ability to meet deadlines and achieve performance goals, while focused on efficient & effective problem resolution
The Preferred: The ideal candidate may possess a combination of the following:
Experience using video creation software, such as Camtasia, Animaker, Powtoon, or similar
Strong project management skills with the ability to administer multiple projects
Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of the organization
Well-developed organizational and time-management skills
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional material and teaching platforms
Position Status & Pay Grade: Unclassified - Pay Grade K
Advertised salary: $37,000 - $39,000 *non-negotiable
