  • Perform special projects as assigned by the Director of QA. These projects will be aimed at working with individuals in other departments to implement and maintain improvement opportunities

  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements

  • Troubleshoot issues

  • Use existing methods to report on data describing non-conforming product from appropriate systems. Review reports with Quality Managers.

  • Establish competence in complex QC methods as assigned.

  • Ensure process compliance, as needed. Report on process compliance where appropriate. Lead process development where appropriate.

  • Assist in the development and sustained maintenance of procedures and work instructions within the Quality Management System

  • Drive input for continuous improvement activities through cross-collaboration with all functional groups

  • Recommend, implement and direct others to modify operational methods and practices along with overall strategy to enhance department effectiveness.

  • Interact with superiors, team members and related people.

  • Establish and manage professional customer rapport to drive solutions to attain business needs

  • Ensure current product quality specification fulfill clients requirements.

  • Support quality management systems operation within organization.

  • Provide support for design, execution and maintenance of quality system processes at respective departments.

  • Help department to coordinate training to operating procedure changes or new system implementation.

  • Ensure operating procedures are of use to end users.

  • Direct writing and review operating procedures (OPs) to ensure compliance, efficiency and clarity.

  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models

  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies

  • Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies

  • Participate in enterprise corrective action discussions as necessary.

  • Develop new audit programs to ensure adequate financial controls

  • Perform statistical analysis and data analysis.

  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements

  • Troubleshoot issues and outages


  • Strong time management and prioritization skills

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Experience working and collaborating effectively in a team environment

  • Innate ability to summarize findings, discussions and research

  • Logical approach in assessing effectiveness of corrective actions


  • Bachelor's degree with minimum one year experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement/quality tools (e.g. 5 Whys, Fishbone, Value Stream Mapping preferred

  • Competency with various applications, to include database, spreadsheet, word processing, presentation and electronic mail

The ideal candidate should be a forward thinking, self-driven quality professional and must have working knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools and processes such as Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA). They will exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments, will guide the successful completion of aspects of major programs and may function in a project leadership role, driving continuous improvement and results. Position responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: * Lead the development of APQP standard work and metrics * Develop quality criteria for supplier selection and development * Perform benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure APQP capability levels are achieved * Represent the organization as the prime APQP technical contact on contracts and projects * Interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations * Train suppliers and Boeing functions in APQP methodology and tools * Lead integration of multiple functions and act as the APQP focal for Boeing representatives deployed globally throughout the supply base * Conduct APQP capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities * Interface with suppliers to ensure flowdown of APQP requirements * Participate in reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs * Analyze project performance Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial airplanes and defense, space and security systems.
