Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager is directly responsible for improving and maintaining overall Customer Satisfaction. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the QMS, tracking and reporting quality metrics, leading and supervision of quality assurance activities and personnel, investigating and tracking of customer complaints, assisting in vendor quality and relations, and interfacing with all functional departments and personnel, including training.

  • Organizing Can marshal resources to get things done; can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal.


  • Overall responsibility to develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Supports Nabco Leadership in efforts to achieve customer satisfaction and quality objectives.

  • Communicates with all levels of the organization to ensure required processes are implemented and followed.

  • Ensures management of required control documents and reports supporting the QMS.

  • Creates and presents professional presentations to a variety of groups including leadership.

  • Ensures proper and complete investigation of customer quality complaints and implements corrective actions.

  • Ensures required audits of the QMS are performed, and any required certifications are maintained.

  • Oversees Supplier Evaluations and metrics, and conducts vendor site visits as needed.

  • Ensures internal quality complaints are minimized through preventative actions.

  • Performs other quality related activities such as inspection and/or sampling of materials.

  • All other related duties as required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Language Ability: Must possess typing skills, blueprint reading ability, and familiarity with measuring methods

  • Math Ability: Proficient mathematical and computer skills

  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to work in a heavily deadline-oriented environment. Ability to work individually and as part of a team. Ability to identify, research, coordinate and resolve issues.

  • Computer Skills:Proficiency in site appropriate computer applications including word processing, spreadsheet and ERP application programs required.

  • Other: Understanding and knowledge of production processes and procedures; Strong leadership, training, and written/oral communication skills; Ability to influence without authority
