About the Role

This individual will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Quality Assurance/Control and Continuous improvement processes as well as vendor social compliance for the organization. The role will support the establishment, development and sustainment of a culture that embraces end to end quality and compliance.

What you will do (Essential Functions)

  • Cross-functional collaboration and communication

  • Develop Staff (increasing competence and engagement)

  • Customer focus: Understand and monitor the needs of internal and external customers

  • Project and time management: Plan tasks and deliverables accurately, prioritize tasks and adapt as needed based upon changing priorities. Responsive to requests, accountable for actions

  • Problem-solve: Prevent and solve issues, understand and mitigate problems, recognize cause and effect relationships between functions

  • Ensure that processes needed for the quality management system are executed and maintained

  • Maintain product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies, procedures, and government requirements

  • Maintain and assist in establishing AQL levels set for each product category

  • Identify manufacturing inefficiencies in factories to improve quality and function of items

  • Proactively discuss potential QC issues during the manufacturing process and identify fixes before the problems occur

  • Maintain comprehensive production schedules of all current mass production in order to schedule QC inspections in a timely manner

  • Follow up with factories to ensure product quality is consistent between production runs

  • Manage weekly travel in a timely and organized manner to control travel expenses

  • Reports to management team on significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation

  • Product QC evaluations at the supplier prior to shipment release as required

  • Maintains Quality Management System procedures and documents throughout the organization and implements training to appropriate personnel

  • Maintain dashboarding of quality metrics for operations management review

  • Communicates and supports quality control philosophy and methods to key personnel in organization

  • Maintain and monitor a vendor social compliance program

  • Maintain dashboarding of compliance metrics for operations management review

  • Coordinate quality objectives with production internal processes in cooperation with other managers to maximize product output quality and maximize efficiency (minimize costs)

  • Maintain Factory Quality performance, carryout risk analysis of vendors and formulate corrective action plans where required

  • Supplier evaluations for vendor onboarding as required

  • Works closely with Director of Quality to resolve any incoming product quality concerns with suppliers to ensure quality of all purchased parts for company use

Who you are (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to effectively communicate well with all levels of the organization English

  • 7 years of relevant work experience in Quality in Pharmaceutical Industry

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Proven ability to drive cohesion and collaboration among many different people & functions

  • Confidence, presence, and credibility to command the respect of colleagues and senior stakeholders, especially within Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Services, Logistics, and Finance. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

  • Adaptable / Flexible - being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances

  • Knowledge of methods and tools to improve performance such as 6 Sigma, Lean, Quality Control, Vendor Management Inventory

  • Knowledge of team value and how to successfully motivate and maintain employee involvement while driving change

  • Organizational skills, with ability to manage competing and dynamic priorities

  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MS-Project skills

Physical standards

  • This position requires frequent sitting, standing, reaching, walking, and operating a computer workstation

  • Ability to push/pull/lift up to 20 pounds

This candidate will coordinate, and direct quality programs designed to ensure that the processing of all products is consistent Primary Duties & Responsibilities: * Oversees the daily task assignments of direct reports as well as supervise and prioritizes tasks as necessary to assure schedule compliance. * Manages and oversees all inspections of parts, investigates non-conformances, initiates, implements, and coordinates corrective and preventative actions as appropriate. * Performs Interface with inspection and manufacturing personnel on technical issues, specification requirements, inspection methods and scheduling. * Reviews and approves all revisions to internal process procedures and Quality system procedures to assure that documentation meets current regulatory and customer requirements. NADCAP and AS9100). * Schedules and reviews internal and external audits to assure that any out of compliances with product, processes, or procedures are identified, documented, and corrected. * Represents Company during all customer and regulatory audits. * Reviews all data obtained during all quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company goals, policies and procedures. * Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and corrective/preventative actions being taken to assure continuous process improvement. * Designs and implements training programs to all quality personnel. * Investigates customer complaints regarding quality. * Maintains a clean, organized and work area. * Adheres to all PCC & PCI specific safety and Cardinal Rules of Quality requirements Develops internal quality metrics to measure the QMS effectiveness * Works well within a team environment Required Skills: * Production machining processes, quality controls, and costs. * Understand/use inspection techniques for effective control of Internal & delivered part quality, cost, and schedule in the manufacture of aerospace machined parts * Knowledge of management principles involved in strategic planning and forecasting including people, material, and equipment resource allocation; corporate and human resource policies and benefits; leadership, teaming; and production methods. * Skill and ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; and develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources. * Expert level root cause corrective action skills * Ability to motivate, develop, and direct people as they work, identifying the best people for the job. * Proactive communicator who can clearly articulate results and needs across all levels. * Ability to establish and communicate clear priorities and to influence others to support and act on those priorities. * Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
