Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Mountain View, CA
Duration: 6 months
- As a Quality Assurance Manager on the Client Retail Marketing Interactive team, you will be working on quality control for a variety of demo experiences across all of client's 1P hardware. These experiences will appear in 3rd party retail channels, both online and offline.
You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders (on the demo team, client QA and Engineering teams) as well as external stakeholders (creative agency designers and producers) to review creative and engineering deliverables. In this role, you'll have a huge impact on the quality of client's growing suite of hardware demo products. Use your knowledge of testing and testability to drive process, influence better software design, improve content, promote bug prevention strategies, and proper testing for accessibility, privacy, and other advanced features across our demo products.
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience OR 3 - 5 years performing automated and manual testing for software user interface. Experience in project management and QA methodology, writing test plans, creating test cases and debugging with a thorough understanding of test fundamentals, test management tools, and defect tracking tools.
Extremely detail-oriented, organized as well as a clear ability to be self directed. Able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven, and techy work environment in often uncertain and ambiguous circumstances.
Experience working with and testing on consumer electronic devices for mobile and web applications as well as console games. Capable of managing several priorities and complex (global) projects simultaneously.
Fluency in written English with strong written and verbal communication skills. You will be clearly articulating issues to team members of varying technical ability. Proven track record of exceptional performance, high productivity, flexibility, teamwork, and dedication.
Go getter attitude with a proactive and collaborative approach to completing work. Keen eye for identifying content incongruities. Detailed orientated with the ability to quickly and consistently identify, document and troubleshoot discrepancies and errors.
Strong familiarity and understanding of client and services, both hardware and software. Including a tech affinity to understanding device components Additional language fluency is a plus.
Experience testing localized content is a plus.
Experience with AR/VR is a plus. Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments is a plus. Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Google Buganizer, Google TestTracker a plus
