Quality Assurance Manager - Aerospace

Job Description Job Description Quality Assurance Manager Sylmar, CA Direct hire Salary: $60,000 to $90,000 annual salary Leading company in the Aerospace industry in Sylmar area. We are hiring an experienced QA Manager to help us keep growing.

Qualifications Experience at least five years of quality management systems in an Aerospace environment or similar manufacturing setting with knowledge of ITAR & AS9100 Quality Systems Standards, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Knowledge: Expert knowledge of Quality Management Systems as well as Process Improvement and Control Techniques Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing best practices, engineering management (project management) and safety management Knowledge of measurements tool care and use such as calipers, micrometers, super micrometers, gauges, CMM’s etc.

Responsibilities The Quality Manager is responsible, in partnership with the production/engineering Management Team, for establishing the continuous improvement strategy to support the organization’s manufacturing quality and cost reduction goals. Ensure that the plant meets both internal and external customer expectations. Responsible for planning, leading, educating and assisting the site staff in the execution of the established continuous improvement strategy.

Manage budget, costs and expenditures within the Quality function and applicable functional support requirement. Instill a disciplined approach to seek out and eliminate quality problems at all levels of the organization. Participates in program and design reviews to contribute to assuring that product quality objectives are met.
