Responsible for the training and instruction of all newly hired Freight Handlers, while improving the following four processes: cargo claims prevention, dock efficiency, trailer cube utilization, and injury prevention. Responsible for the continual development of all Freight Handlers, utilizing the Quality Improvement Process and the Individualized Quality work group structure.


Ability to understand and utilize the methods, procedures, and techniques for loading and securing cargo in or on a vehicle and to determine if the cargo being transported has been properly located, distributed, and secured on or in a vehicle for the purposes of training newly hired associates. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be an effective communicator with strong persuasion skills in both group and individual presentations. Ability to operate scanning devices. Must have the judgment necessary to perform the functions of the job.

Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups and have the ability to communicate tactfully and diplomatically with the individuals whom the associate will be in contact. A satisfactory past work record is preferred. Ability to understand, implement, and demonstrate safe, efficient freight handling and lifting procedures.

6 months of Less Than Truckload (LTL) freight handling experience A High School Diploma or GED is required

VIEW JOBS 11/11/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-09T00:00 Summary This position's primary responsible is for designing and ensuring human/machine interfaces and quality processes, procedures and controls are aligned to maximize quality production at a reduced cost. The Quality Engineer evaluates new customer and vendor requirements to design production-quality flow processes and prepares Capital Appropriation Requests(CAR) to evaluate if the investment is feasible and meets cost requirements. Key position results include but are not limited to, increase quality at and/or reduced cost for supply base, internally and customer base; compliance with all regulatory and internal policies; reduction in scrap, reject and rework; and timely and accurate CAR preparation and evaluation. The ideal candidate utilizes strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills to identify, develop and follow through on a course of action relative to production-quality flow processes. Responsibilities * Develops process control methods in order to solve complex problems and eliminate waste. * Facilitates internal teams in order to determine root cause and implements corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences. * Interacts with suppliers in order to improve products through material or process changes. * Completes customer PPAP's (Production Part Approval Process) and requirements. Develops, reviews and approves supplier PPAP's. * Develops and performs DOE's (Design of Experiments). * Determines root cause and implements corrective action to prevent reoccurrence on customer issues. Works with and approves supplier corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. * Evaluates, develops and implements procedure and manual changes. * Performs customer visits and supplier audits in order to drive improvements internally and externally. * Manages the preparation and evaluation of CAR's related to new tooling and equipment. * Trains operators and management. * Assists with selection or hire, recommends discipline. May fill in for manager approvals. * Other duties as assigned.
