Job Description / Requirements:

  • Checking the quality of incoming raw materials and components in accordance with established inspection and specification requirements.
  • Coordination of complaints in the event of faulty deliveries and close cooperation with suppliers to clarify quality deviations.
  • Performing spot checks during the production process to ensure that product quality meets internal and external standards.
  • Monitoring production processes and supporting production employees in complying with quality specifications.
  • Identifying process deviations and implementing corrective actions to ensure high product quality.
  • Inspecting finished products for compliance with quality requirements and specifications prior to shipment.
  • Ensuring that all documentation (e.g. certificates, test reports) is correct and complete.
  • Support in the evaluation of returns and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Identifying and helping to optimize processes and workflows to improve product quality.
  • Training and support of production employees in quality-related topics.
  • Coordinating the processing of complaints and objections from customers.
  • Analyzing the root causes of quality deviations and errors in products and processes together with relevant departments.
  • Creation, implementation and continuous adaptation of quality plans for production as well as for products and processes.
  • Managing and calibrating test equipment to ensure it meets requirements at all times.
  • Checking and documenting the regular maintenance and calibration of measuring and testing equipment.
  • Direct report to the Director of Operations Hagerstown.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Completed technical or commercial training, ideally in the field of quality assurance or production.
  • 2-3 years professional experience in the field of quality assurance, ideally in an industrial company.
  • Experience in handling complaints and working with suppliers and customers.
  • Basic knowledge of test equipment management and calibration of measuring and test equipment.
  • Independent, structured and careful way of working.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
