The role of the Quality Inspector is to maintain an exceptional level of product quality by having a standard of excellence for all production and quality requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs quality inspection on components, assemblies and/or final packaging

  • Assures the timely and accurate evaluation of product specifications and compliance to manufacturing requirements.

  • Read and follow detailed procedures to inspect in-process, final assembly, packaging, and labeling

  • This position can be located in a clean room environment and requires working under a microscope and using small hand tools such as pin gauges and calipers.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • 2-3 years of f quality inspection experience in a production environment preferred

  • Ability to read and understand drawings, specification and procedures

  • Experience working with measuring tools including pin gauges and calipers

  • Experience performing inspection on small parts with tight tolerances preferred

  • Experience working in a FDA and/or ISO regulated environment preferred

  • Detailed, organized and quality oriented

  • Focused and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be able to work overtime and Saturday hours as needed

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting the qualification of new suppliers and materials as well as ongoing supplier quality control, auditing and improvement of supplier related activities and metrics. Duties & Responsibilities: * Work with Purchasing, Quality, and R&D to qualify new suppliers or materials; supporting quality/cost improvements in manufacturing and the supply chain. * Qualify new suppliers in a timely manner in support of internal departments * Development and enhance Oscor's supplier quality related procedures and processes in compliance with the requirements of ISO13485, 21 CFR 820 and other applicable regulations and standards * Investigate and analyze supplier quality issues, working closely with suppliers and internal teams resolve issues in a timely manner * Assist in implementing continuous improvement projects related to the quality system * Work with suppliers in implementing necessary actions to resolve supplier corrective actions through the SCAR process * Maintain supplier quality metrics and communicate results to suppliers and Oscor management * Ensure that approved supplier list and vendor materials are routinely updated to maintain accuracy. * Manage supplier change notifications to ensure that they are appropriately assessed, communicated and all follow-up activities are tracked through timely completion. * Conduct supplier audits and provide support for supplier quality systems improvements * Develop and maintain the supplier first article submission program Qualifications: * 3-5 years of supplier quality engineering experience with exposure to the medical device industry * BS Degree in Engineering or Physical Science required * Experience working with FDA complaint handling processes * Working knowledge of QSR/ISO requirements * Working knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices * Quality certification (CQE, CQA) is desirable * Excellent communication and writing skills to support effective correspondence with internal as well as external customers/suppliers. * Knowledge of inspection methods in the design and fabrication of medical devices * Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings and specifications * Knowledge of statistics, statistical process control, process capability, data analysis and chart interpretation (histograms, trend charts, etc.) * Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment.
