Job Overview:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. The Quality Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet established quality standards before they reach customers. This position involves examining products, materials, and processes to identify defects or deviations from specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to upholding quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection and Evaluation:

  • Conduct visual and/or dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Verify that products meet established quality specifications, including measurements, tolerances, and visual criteria.
  • Document and report any non-conformities, defects, or deviations from quality standards.

Testing and Sampling:

  • Perform functional tests and product performance assessments as required.
  • Collect and analyze samples for quality control purposes, ensuring adherence to sampling plans and procedures.

Recordkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including inspection reports, test data, and quality control documentation.
  • Create and update quality control logs and databases.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company-specific quality guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality-related issues.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvement and work with relevant departments to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide feedback on product design and manufacturing processes to enhance quality and reliability.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Ensure that inspection equipment and tools are properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or calibration issues to the appropriate personnel.

Communication:

  • Communicate quality-related issues and findings to supervisors, colleagues, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address and prevent quality issues in real-time.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (a degree or certification in a related field is a plus).
  • 3-5 years proven experience as a Quality Inspector or a similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications for recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulations is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift objects as necessary for inspection tasks.
  • Visual acuity and color perception for accurate visual inspections.
  • Manual dexterity for using inspection tools and equipment.
