Job Description Summary:

To ensure that our cleaning contracted staff provides efficient and exceptional service to our university clients, the Quality Assurance Inspector will create a schedule for routine inspections of our client buildings and check in with clients to ensure satisfaction with our services. The incumbent will report findings and feedback on cleaning services to management, identify areas for improvement, promptly address any deficiencies or issues encountered and maintain detailed records for performance tracking and compliance purposes. In addition, the inspector will create and implement housekeeping standards and procedures in accordance with industry regulations and company policies.

Required Qualifications

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Valid, unrestricted driver license

Work Experience: 2 or more years of experience in a similar role or a supervising role over cleaning services

Preferred Qualifications

Work Experience: 5 or more years of experience in a similar role or a supervising role over cleaning services

Skills

  • Basic Excel and Microsoft Windows skills required.

  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Windows preferred.

  • Proficiency in data entry preferred.

Other Job Duties Outlined:

  • Perform thorough inspections of client buildings to ensure proper cleaning services are being provided.

  • Use an online-based inspection form to submit findings.

  • Ensure that all job sites are stocked with adequate cleaning supplies and equipment.

  • Communicate with clients and operations manager as needed to provide feedback on services to management.

  • Provide accurate counts of supplies and equipment on job sites and in bulk storage locations.

  • Develop and maintain inspection calendar, adjusting visit frequency as needed.

  • Identify areas for improvement and address any deficiencies or issues promptly to maintain high-quality standards.

  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, audit findings, and corrective actions taken to track performance and overtime compliance.

  • Position will round general offices, labs, classrooms, and other locations to assess housekeeping.

  • Create and implement housekeeping standards and procedures to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with industry regulations and company policies.

Compensation Statement:

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
