Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be part of the Praxair Global Hydrogen Quality Assurance Group. In this support role, the Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) will be responsible for performing all aspects of Quality Assurance Surveillance activities associated with the manufacturing of Praxair equipment and the erection of the Praxair Hydrogen Plants. This position will require the QAE to function with minimal supervision. The QAE will interact with Praxair Project Management and Engineering team to ensure successful execution of the Praxair Quality Management program.

Technical/Functional Responsibilities:

  • Manage and guide the QA/QC activities during the execution of EP, EPC, and EPCM contracts in a manner that achieves the project quality requirements within the Quality Standards, Cost, and Schedule targets set by Praxair.

  • Ensure that all actions, works, and services undertaken by Suppliers, EP, EPC, and EPCM Contractor, are in accordance with the respective Contractual Agreement.

  • Ensure compliance with Praxair objectives, requirements, priorities, policies, procedures, standards, rules, regulations and guidelines provided by Praxair from time to time.

  • Ensure that cost effective solutions in engineering design are adopted while maintaining quality, constructability, operability and maintainability.

  • Ensure the project is built in conformance to the specified codes, standards, specifications, and jurisdictional requirements.

  • Conduct Quality surveillance audits during the different stages of project execution Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.

  • Oversee supplier and contractor QA/QC performance through spot and final inspections per ITP's.

  • Ensure provision of proper technical coordination and administration services to project management.

  • Ensuring that QA/QC culture is visible across all project at all levels.

  • Review and approve Suppliers, Contractor and Subcontractor quality programs including Project Specific Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP)

  • Monitor the fabrication, assembly, and construction erection activities and report any non-conformances and follow up on the required corrective and preventative actions.

  • Provide input to the collection of Lessons Learned for the project.

Position requires extensive travel, including international travel.

  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in the oil/gas industry. Minimum of 10 years of experience as an inspector or craftsman in related equipment manufacturing or construction. Prior certification as a Level II NDE Examiner (RTI, MT, PT, UT), and API - 510, AWS - CWI, is mandatory.

  • Demonstrated experience establishing project quality systems meeting the requirements of ISO 9001 for Quality Management Systems and able to develop, maintain and implement a QMS in accordance with that standard

  • Experience on large-scale capital projects performing regular inspections and audits

  • Has clearly demonstrated strong quality assurance competence

  • Ability to facilitate workshops to lead the project team through development of project quality procedures

  • Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment national and international

  • Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding skills

  • Work effectively with peers in a multi-disciplinary environment

  • Good command of written and spoken English, Strong oral communication skills, strong computer skills

VIEW JOBS 9/20/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-12-19T00:00 The Commercial Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for supporting the Commercial Quality Assurance Manager on the initiatives of the Commercial Banking division. This includes portfolio management, analyzing pricing strategies, evaluating data governance controls, and assisting with reviewing and adjusting related policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance of the Bank's commercial banking products. The Commercial Quality Assurance Analyst will posses a strong understanding of and have experience with quality control, loan origination/underwriting, and risk management. Key Responsibilities: * Ensure the quality control of a diverse and complex commercial loan portfolio of complex bi-lateral relationships, participations/syndications, and SNC's. * Contribute to the implementation, development and growth of the Commercial Banking division and operating systems. * Ensure all pre and post-closing reviews are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with established policies and procedures. * Performs audit functions, called Quality Assurance Reviews, for both risk controls and compliance with policies and procedures. * Coordinate the review and remediation of all identified issues, ensuring the appropriate root-cause analyses are completed and action plans are implemented timely. * Ensure personnel have the requisite skills necessary to adequately perform their duties based on the results of Quality Assurance Reviews by assisting in the development of training curriculum for personnel and recommending additional training where needed. * Contribute to the training and development program for the Commercial Banking staff, prepare content and coordinate delivery of training for new material, as well as continuing growth and development needs. * Research and maintain awareness of lending regulatory and market changes that may impact the organization's compliance and strategic initiatives. * Analyze documentation and participates in internal and external audits and examinations. * Participate and contribute to special projects as needed to continue system and process enhancements. * Serve as contact for all Commercial Banking systems, procedures, processes, and strategic initiatives. * Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned. Competencies Required: * Extensive knowledge of participation/syndication, construction, and complex middle market transactions with a strong understanding of accounting principles, loan and deposit processing procedures, and related regulations. * Advanced technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Power Point) and banking software applications (ACBS, nCino, and Precision Lender preferred). * Strong planning and organizational skills, with an ability to establish a strategic direction and subsequently develop supporting initiatives. * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy, tact and salesmanship. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. * Strong practical knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services, regulatory guidelines, and industry practices. * Demonstrated ability to research and interpret changes in government regulations and market trends. Minimum Qualifications/Experience: * 3 years of Commercial Banking experience including commercial and middle market transactions, and participations/syndications. * 5 years' professional/business experience in financial services, or banking industry. Formal Education & Certification: * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field required. Work Status: * Full-Time. Supervisory Responsibility: * None.
