Title: Quality Assurance Engineer, QA Engineer
Location: Tulsa, OK
Compensation: $70-80k per year
Years of experience: 2+

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for maintaining product quality while minimizing quality costs through creative analysis of internal (manufacturing) and external (vendors and customer) quality related problems and providing necessary corrective and preventive actions. The QAE will provide quality related technical support to sales and for new product introduction, product redesign, while conducting quality and process audits both internal/external.
What You Will Be Doing

  • Analyze manufacturing processes and provide technical support to reduce and/or eliminate quality related problems

  • Investigate and resolve all quality related complaints from customers

  • Provide customers with quality dossiers, plans, and certificate when required

  • Analyze returned material and initiate corrective and preventive actions

  • Update and maintain vendor rating and evaluation system. Perform vendor qualifications and subsequent audits

  • Prepare quality related manufacturing specifications for product introduction and modifications

  • Prepare quality related test plans for current (when required) & new products

  • Provide quality related technical assistance

  • Assist Customers inspectors in quality audits

  • Perform manufacturing process audits to improve process efficiency

  • Maintain Quality System certification (ISO 9001, ASME)

  • Participate in Quality inspections as needed
    What You Need for this Position

  • Bachelors of Science (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Mettallurgical or equivalent)

  • Current certification by the American Society for Quality will be a plus

  • Good understanding of national and international standards such as ISO, CE, ASME, ANSI etc.

  • Knowledge of quality assurance tools such as FMEA, DOE, Process simulation, Statistical Analysis

  • Exposure to lean manufacturing and use of six sigma concepts

  • Ability to use quality software such as Minitab
