Job Description: - Performs inspections and sets quality assurance testing models for analysis of materials, materials in process, and finished products.

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

  • Relies on past experience working on boards military vessels and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to support the test and inspection plan. Performs a variety of tasks by following preestablished guidelines.

  • Works under immediate supervision.

  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

  • Responsible for the shipboard monitoring and reporting of all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with the Quality Management System and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in developing and updating and auditing quality records.

  • Conduct site visits to perform documented surveillances on workmanship quality and compliance to personal and equipment safety requirements.

  • Ability to work independently and follow instruction.

  • Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Required Skills - 3 Years experience working on Naval ships with responsibilities in the area Quality Assurance and NAVSEA requirements. Desired Skills/

Qualifications:

NDT Level II Certification

NAVSEA approved Fiber Optic connector Builder Certification

NAVSEA approved Multi-pin Connector Builder Certification

Knowledge of OSHA Requirements

Knowledge of electrical/electronics systems.

Knowledge of Welding/Fabrication process
