Job Description: - Performs inspections and sets quality assurance testing models for analysis of materials, materials in process, and finished products.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on past experience working on boards military vessels and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to support the test and inspection plan. Performs a variety of tasks by following preestablished guidelines.
Works under immediate supervision.
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Responsible for the shipboard monitoring and reporting of all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with the Quality Management System and applicable regulatory requirements.
Assist in developing and updating and auditing quality records.
Conduct site visits to perform documented surveillances on workmanship quality and compliance to personal and equipment safety requirements.
Ability to work independently and follow instruction.
Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
NDT Level II Certification
NAVSEA approved Fiber Optic connector Builder Certification
NAVSEA approved Multi-pin Connector Builder Certification
Knowledge of OSHA Requirements
Knowledge of electrical/electronics systems.
Knowledge of Welding/Fabrication process
