POSITION TITLE: Quality Assurance Engineer/Engineering Technician II 80-18 SHIFT: 1st

SECTION OR DEPARTMENT: SEWS Electronics Division, Quality Assurance Department

REPORTS TO: Quality Assurance Manager

LOCATION: Edmonton, KY

BASIC POSITION DUTIES:

Provide Support for both Edmonton and K&S Mexico Manufacturing Facility for Honda and Nissan Production Parts. Provide Quality Engineering support for Honda products to the Electronics Division. Promotes and projects the standards of excellence established by SEWS QA in alignment with company and departmental objectives. Will be primary customer contact/representative of SEWS and must assure compliance to customer requirements and expectations and coordinate relations between customer and SEWS departments.

  • Main window person / contact for Honda Manufacturing plants and SEWS customer service centers.

  • Analyze and lead customer claim / defect investigations with support from manufacturing and other departments.

  • Honda new model documentation and preparations (in coordination with Asst Mgr and New Model Engineering group).

  • Lead internal claim and IPD improvement activities on Honda assembly lines.

  • Train and educate operators and inspectors.

  • Create / revise quality documentation, including but not limited to: PFMEA, Control Plans / MQC / PQCT, Inspection Standards, Operating standards, Rule Compliance, etc.

  • Line patrol, visitation and sorting at customers as necessary.

  • Support other activities as directed by the manager, asst. manager or above.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge and understanding of ISO IATF requirements.

  • AS Degree or Higher in Engineering related Field with 3-5 years of experience.

  • Specific knowledge / experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, FTA / Problem Solving, and basic quality tools. Organization and Communication skills.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and other MS office products.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to QA Manager and QA Asst. Manager.

  • Must work well with leaders and associates.

Position interacts with Manufacturing, Process, Maintenance Engineers, Leaders, Coordinators, and Operators.

VIEW JOBS 3/20/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-18T00:00 POSITION TITLE: Process Engineer II, III SHIFT: 1st SECTION OR DEPARTMENT: Electronics Division, Engineering Department REPORTS TO: Brian Coffey, General Manager LOCATION: Edmonton BASIC POSITION DUTIES: * Direct and lead process engineering support to assembly lines by developing operation and programs for robotic assembly equipment and other production machines. * Use engineering skills to optimize and improve existing processes and equipment. * Propose, introduce and perform cost analysis for new equipment, procedures, and techniques as needed to increase uptime, reduce defects, and reduce costs. * Support product quality investigations to identify root cause of claim and critical process defects. * Write procedures and other documents for training and operations. * Monitors, reviews, and confirms the daily performance of assigned production lines. * Tracks in-process defects of assigned lines and identifies improvement activities to reduce and/or eliminate target defects. * Establishes and manages line improvement projects to increase productivity and reduce labor costs. * Establishes and develops manufacturing operation procedures, equipment procedures, daily check items, and other documentation or procedures for assembly processes. * Evaluates process design and layout for cost of manufacturing, man-hour utilization, line balance, and manufacturing quality optimization. * Collects data for line performance and uses analysis to identify improvement activity for assigned areas. * Create progress reports and deliver to management as required for assigned areas as necessary. * Maintains and updates circuit test data, function test data, OCR, Vision, and robotic control program data. * Designs, develops and implements new tooling and fixtures for manufacturing process equipment. * Works with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing, and other departments as needed. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: * Engineering Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related fields. * Minimum 5-7 years' experience in related fields and strong engineering/technical abilities. * Previous experience with light servo driven manufacturing equipment, press and dies, circuit check, OCR, and vision systems. * Programming skills, knowledge of PLCs, computer controls, robotics, and good communication/interpersonal skills a must. * Wave Solder process knowledge is a strong plus.
