$2,500 Hire Bonus – 50% paid after 30 days of employment, balance after 90 days.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure quality and reliability within our operations.

Job Summary: As the Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development, monitoring, and improvement of processes, and quality standards. Your primary responsibility will be to support the development of new processes, mitigate process risks, maintain quality control systems, evaluate and monitor production processes, and ensure that products adhere to specified standards. You will collaborate closely with multiple internal and external teams and functions, to implement quality improvement initiatives, resolve quality issues, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review customer designs and processes, developing and implementing control plans and risk mitigations using APQP methods. This includes developing process flows, FMEA’s, control planning, measurement system analysis, SPC development and analysis and PPAP execution.

  • Designs processes, gages, and measurement SOP's to effectively ensure that Product Realization goals are met, efficiently, and with low PPM performance.

  • Ensures that controls are in place to ensure incoming materials and processes are conformant to customer requirements.

  • Designs tests to monitor process conformance

  • Investigate root causes of Customer quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and monitor effectiveness to prevent recurrence

  • Lead or collaborates with teams to identify and implement process improvements

  • Lead projects to completion utilizing personal and team management techniques

  • Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers in resolving quality-related challenges, including process improvements, and inspection techniques

  • Collaborate with Customers to ensure that drawing tolerancing aligns with their needs and manufacturing methods, implementing win/win solutions, and elevating when not immediately apparent.

  • Ensure project and processes meet all requirements and reliability standards as defined internally or by Customers.

  • Modify and maintain software quality operating systems

  • Develop and implement efficient quality control processes and cost-saving measures

  • Educate, train, and supervise new employees on current manufacturing, quality assurance, and workflow processes

  • Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt/ CI project Champion

  • Recommend and implement rework and salvage procedures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality engineering or quality management roles within the machining industry. Experience in metallurgy and plating processes is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, turning, milling, grinding, heat treatment, plating, and finishing.

  • Strong understanding of Geometric Tolerancing and Measurement techniques, including CMM fixturing and programming.

  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis.

  • Experience with QMS auditing, development, and performance management.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers across different cultures and regions.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to visit supplier/customer sites and support quality initiatives.

  • This is an ITAR facility and requires the candidate to be a US person. (US Citizen or green card holder)
