This is a quality engineering position which will assume tasks on Marion programs within Lockheed Martin Sippican, Inc. Overall responsibility for this engineering position includes all aspects of Product Quality throughout all program lifecycles; including New Product Development, Test Engineering Quality, Production Quality, and Process Improvement. Ensure that the program's processes/procedures and other required process assets are followed (in compliance with RMS policies, processes, and procedures, and contract requirements).

Develop and perform detailed analysis for daily/weekly trending metrics. Develop the program's audit plan/schedule, conduct process audits, track audit findings, and manage corrective actions to closure. Meet with and sell off product to customer representatives.

Review and follow the program's contract data items including waivers/deviations/variance, including subcontractors. Review and approve documentation which supports the baseline configurations that are built.

Create, develop, and approve work instructions to support all aspects of production. Train and certify personnel to assembly, inspection, and test steps. Manage defective material; facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action closure.

Basic Qualifications:

Solid verbal and written communication skills, ability to lead and work well within a team as well as work independently. Electromechanical design familiarity needed. Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Desired Skills:

IPC-610 certified a plus. Knowledge of statistics, circuit card assembly familiarity, software programming experience.

This role would support future work anticipated in Q1 of 2019 on US Navy programs. The candidate needs to be a very strong technically and have significant experience with executing the systems engineering lifecycle including requirements analysis, development and derivation, design oversight to ensure compliance to requirements, integration and qualification testing (IV&V), followed by introduction of final products into production and production support. The successful candidate will be proficient in communicating upward to program leads and senior managers, and with other engineers and individual contributors on the team. Basic Qualifications: * Prior System Engineering experience on DoD and international type programs * Prior experience contributing to the creation of functional/non-functional and performance requirement baselines for a system. * Prior experience executing the technical scope of the System Engineering life-cycle and tracking progress via TPMs and other metrics * Prior experience with Specialty Engineering related to IA, ILS, RMA, Safety, etc. * Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with and present technical scope to senior leadership and customers * Must have superb written skills and prior experience developing technical artifacts for DoD type programs * Prior experience developing materials for and presenting at System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRR/SFR/SSR/PDR/CDR/TRR) * Occasional Travel to customer facilities is required * Candidate must be capable of obtaining a Secret clearance.
