What you'll be doing...
As a QA Developer for Application Development and Operations Support team, you'll provide Quality Assurance development and technical solutions for in-house Security software applications supported by Network Security and Identity Access Management, used to secure employees, contractors and vendors access to network elements, applications and support Verizon's VCP, 5G, LTE, VoLTE, 4G to name a few.
You will develop, enhance and participate in architecture changes for mission-critical network applications and databases to ensure the network organization has effective tools and customer-focused applications to meet security, alarming, monitoring and audit compliance of Verizon's network. Works with Application Engineering and Operations Support to understand systems and consults with customers to understand needs. Developments and implements new systems, corrects software errors in existing systems, and works to improve performance through hardware upgrades. Manages computer systems in a business environment and responsible for resolving technical issues. Knowledgeable in programming, data structures, computer systems, and software engineering.
We are looking for an outstanding Quality Assurance engineer to help with building and testing some exciting technical projects. You have an excellent understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, provide project status, and interface professionally with NSIAM Subject Matter Expert Engineers and Regional, Area and HQ Network Engineering teams across VZW to deliver robust, scalable and manageable software solutions.
Work closely on Quality Assurance to ensure code quality and work on timely delivery of fixes for any defects.
Work closely with business owners and other subject matter experts on requirements gathering and design.
Work on the development and delivery of high quality tested code working closely with a team of other developers across multiple locations and time zones.
Responsible for code review of other developers internal to NSIAM.
Responsible for standing up a new platform to deliver the business functionality and also deliver the end to end CICD pipeline.
Ensure alignment with industry best practices, staying abreast of all pertinent technical standards and take end-to-end ownership of the features and products
Work closely with solutions planning, operations and development teams within Network Security Services and to ensure high-availability of applications.
Designing, configuring, implementing, troubleshooting and supporting security solutions on multi-site critical network environments.
Integrating security requirements with identity stores, relational databases, application servers and physical access management systems.
What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Experience in quality assurance.
Even better if you have:
Experience using Java, Python, Selenium, Cucumber, Robot Framework, JIRA, and SQL, with a focus on best coding practices.
Experience in Architecting & Developing e2e test plans for all facets of software testing, including UAT, load testing, and regression testing.
Accomplished communicator adept at building and strengthening relationships across functions to drive high levels of quality through cohesive, strategic, and proper tests and testing.
Knowledge of test status reporting, creating exec level reports and ability to convey the status of the project clearly.
Ability to implement industry wide best practices for test case writing and execution, and enforce them across peers.
Experience with Identity and Access Management.
Flexibility to adapt into a fast paced environment and deliver with best results.
IoT/connected vehicle device experience.
